Stating on FB that he signed for us this morning.

Re: John Campbell
It's just dawned on me: John Campbell is DFC AJB.
Re: John Campbell
Why would we sign that thick, chavvy, buck-toothed wanker?

Re: John Campbell
Lets be honest he'd be a good signing for us. Even if he is a c***.
Re: John Campbell
Would be a good signing, scored over 30 goals and created a lot of Moffats goals.
Re: John Campbell
i doubt Gray would stand for any attitude in his squad. It's a very together squad and he doesn't want any disruptions

Re: John Campbell
Is there any more to this?
Not sure if this is against the general feeling of Darlo fans but I would be very happy with this if it were true. (I also don't mind the name Darlington 1883 and think the new home shirt is cool)

Re: John Campbell
I'm with Stevie on this one. Might be a tosser but no denying he is a good player. I also like the 1883 thing which shows a clear break away from the awful recent regime at our club. The new kits I will hope judgement until I see one myselfjimmyht wrote:Stevie , you must be the most chilled out, laid back bloke on this forum Does anything wind you up?StevieMardenboro wrote:Is there any more to this?

Have I missed something with Campbell? What's with the hate? Thought he was good for us at Conference level, especially when he first joined, but never really got a good run. Would surely add something to the team.
(PS: like the new kit, unsure about 1883)
Re: John Campbell
Campbell decent player for the level but is a c***.
Shirts ok but hate the sleeves.
1883 just awful.

Re: John Campbell
Why would he come back? he hates us more than we hate him, and that's a lot.
Re: John Campbell
A good player, but I think he's just a bit dim. I don't think it's anything malicious.

I'd hope that as a group of fans that we are a bit more mature than that.
Does he hate us? I'd like to think not.
I'd welcome him back, because he can score goals at step 4 and 3. He's wasted in the Northern League and needs to be playing higher up with a club like us.
Re: John Campbell
No different to Ian Clark signing for us, hated him playing for the chimps but once he pulls on a Darlo top hes one of us. He can be as much of a twat as he likes, as long as hes a twat for us and not against us.

95% of darlo fans hate him, going by the response he got, and his t-shirt message would probably indicate that he doesn't like us.
He is a good player at that level but he'll bring way to much baggage and trouble to the squad

Re: John Campbell
You've got to be one hell of a sad twat to hate a part-time footballer because he said some nasty things about "my darlo" over a social media site, and for running about a bit when he scored against us at West.lewis1k89 wrote:Do we hate him a lot? I don't think so.

So yes I suppose 95% of Darlo fans could be in that category, thankfully I'm not one of them.

I really doubt that we'll get him, West Auckland will want very silly money.

It's depressing that fans would have Campbell back.
It says a lot about them as people.

It's very different to Ian Clark, mainly because Ian Clark didn't spend his time goading Darlo fans on social media, or provoke Darlo fans when playing against us.loan_star wrote:No different to Ian Clark signing for us, hated him playing for the chimps but once he pulls on a Darlo top hes one of us. I don't hate Campbell, but there are plenty of other people I'd rather see play for us ahead of him.

Pretty much sums it up.A kick in the Jacobs wrote:It's depressing that fans would have Campbell back.

We don't particularly need him, he also appears to be a total cock, yet folk are still clamouring over him because of some misplaced notion that he showed PASSION and PUT A SHIFT IN when he was here last.
Re: John Campbell
What's his crimes again?
Celebrating a goal against us, writing s*** on Facebook, and possibly writing something on his t shirt?
Could be worse

Considering social media wasnt such a big thing back then thats no surprise. And if you think he didnt goad Darlo fans when playing against us then you cant have been taking much notice!Darlogramps wrote:It's very different to Ian Clark, mainly because Ian Clark didn't spend his time goading Darlo fans on social media, or provoke Darlo fans when playing against us.
