When will George Reynolds leave our club alone?

Couldn't have been Reynolds - it was a successful break-in

The "secure outer wall" wasn't very secure then...

Clever timing - 2 games over the weekend. Hope the insurance is up to scratch.

Re: Break in at Heritage Park
i work around the corner from there and wondered what the crime scene police van was doing outside at 7:50 this morning.

Whilst everybody is mindlessly mocking the break in and making references to GR, let's just think on...that money might have been OURS.
Suddenly, it's as unfunny as fuck.

Indeed, and we're run by volunteers with little time to spare, it's easy to get the insurance policy slightly wrong etc etc.
Not saying that will have happened but it'd just be our luck.

Re: Break in at Heritage Park
that's all we bloody need particularly if it's the gate money from our match on the Saturday. I'm assuming Bishop would have banked their gate money from the Friday night game on the Saturday. Knowing our luck it's probably all the gatemoney and shirt money.
Re: Break in at Heritage Park
Well yeah. Thieves will have been thinking "Darlo playing, thousands of pounds"
All we need, this is. Until we know the facts we can only speculate, but if you were a betting man, you'd bet that it was 99% certain to be OUR money.

Re: Break in at Heritage Park
In the past our gate money used to be collected by a security company after a home game at the Arena, so hopefully it will have also happened last weekend and of not I'm sure it will have been insured.

Insured or not, it will still have a financial impact on us.
Lets just wait for the facts before we end up in Burgervan gate again.

There must be plenty CCTV round there, the fuel station, Sainsbury, March hare, rind ale crossing etc, even Lloyds tractor place if the headed toward west Auckland.

Re: Break in at Heritage Park
according to article they managed to steal the safe. I thought that the safe would be quite secure and hidden in a wall somewhere. This thief or thieves seem to have had plenty of time to get in and then locate the safe without any burglar alarms or security devices going off. And they found it in the dark as I'm sure they didn't switch all the lights on.

Wasn't some pitchfork weilding yokel from the West ghetto who is still pissed off that 5000 of us didn't turn up last season to give them there over inflated payday was it...Markodarlo wrote:There must be plenty CCTV round there, the fuel station, Sainsbury, March hare, rind ale crossing etc, even Lloyds tractor place if the headed toward west Auckland.
In all seriousness, quite disturbing that they can get away with the safe so seemingly easy

Re: Break in at Heritage Park
I have not heard any confirmation how us and Bishop are affected by this but it's safe to say if we put all the cash in the safe, then we would of had somewhere close to 10k in there.
I hope the insurance policy is relevant for break-ins and up to date, I haven't seen any reports on the Echo website either.

Terrible news to hear regardless of whose money is in there.

No DFC money was left in the safesuper_les_mcjannet wrote:I have not heard any confirmation how us and Bishop are affected by this but it's safe to say if we put all the cash in the safe, then we would of had somewhere close to 10k in there.

Re: Break in at Heritage Park
I thought safes these days were just for petty cash and other operating cost.
Arent the takings dropped off at the night bank or picked up for the bank.

Where has that mong Ingleby's post gone?
'What about cheques'
Glad to jear none of our money was in there, if this is true.
