Same old question - Nathan Fisher
Heading back to the UK in September, looking for a club.
No plans to head back out to Thailand, do we need more fire power and can we afford him. He might get a full-time contract somwehere anyhow.

No need for him now we have Johnson.
Doubtless we'll be linked with him again at the end of this season. I think he's the new Paul Connor.

As others have said, I don't think we really need another striker. Our current lot are more than good enough to fire us to promotion.

Re: Same old question - Nathan Fisher
clearly any money left in the budget should be used for a defender now or to strengthen during the season when the injury's hit

Re: Same old question - Nathan Fisher
Seen a tweet that he was at a game didn't realise it was ours. He wants to sign for someone in the NE and we all know Gray wanted him.Darlofan97 wrote:At our game today...
I might be wrong but it seems our squad is probably at it's budget maximum and Gray is having to move players on to make any room.

I'd say that is a fair assessment to be honest.super_les_mcjannet wrote:I might be wrong but it seems our squad is probably at it's budget maximum and Gray is having to move players on to make any room.Darlofan97 wrote:At our game today...
Can't really see who can go out and make room and/or if we are actually interested. Maybe this is the frustration from Gray you alluded to in another thread?

Re: Same old question - Nathan Fisher
I just get that feeling that we can't sign players unless moving some on at the moment. Which is hard but probably a good thing if we are actually sticking to a budget and making sure we are financially stable.Darlofan97 wrote:I'd say that is a fair assessment to be honest.super_les_mcjannet wrote:I might be wrong but it seems our squad is probably at it's budget maximum and Gray is having to move players on to make any room.Darlofan97 wrote:At our game today...

Any idea where Turns was today?
Re: Same old question - Nathan Fisher
I hope this is not in replacement of AJ. Andy was gutted being pulled off today and I can understand why.
Dowson can put in a shift but he's never going to be prolific like Johnson. Meanwhile Amar had a stinker.

Re: Same old question - Nathan Fisher
Johnson wasn't in the game second half, Purewal is our striker who deals with the high ball best, and Dowson and Purewal had a very good partnership last season. That would be why Johnson got taken off.
Re: Same old question - Nathan Fisher
Johnson is also our top scorer and our most natural finisher. Seen enough of the high balls tbh, becoming very unattractive to watch of late.al_quaker wrote:Johnson wasn't in the game second half, Purewal is our striker who deals with the high ball best, and Dowson and Purewal had a very good partnership last season. I thought with the supposed extra time on the ball we could have kept it on the ground more as we tried to do last season.

We played plenty of direct stuff up to Purewal last season.

Don't think we have found our best eleven yet or even our best way of playing but I agree up in the air will not get the best out of Johnson. What is our best CB pairing without Brown, Midfield partnership and stirke partnership.Ingleby wrote:Johnson is also our top scorer and our most natural finisher. Johnson's finishing with Dowson's work rate would be some player.
