Handed in a transfer request due to work commitments. Gutted, but that's the level we're at.

All the best, Craig.

Ah man what a shame that is. How on earth do you find out this info by the way!?

To be honest we are overloaded with centre midfielders but Gott had a real quality about him.

Thought Gott was excellent midfielder and to be honest one of the main players I would put in centre midfield at the moment.

Good luck to him, just a shame it's not with us.

Craig Stoddart tweeted it 10 minutes ago, it's on the Echo site.

Very disappointing. Our most consistent midfielder.

A real shame as I thought he had the potential to progress up at least the next couple of leagues with us.

This is where clubs who have chairmen who have businesses that they can employ the players in, win.

Gray has a tough job to replace him - we've lost some good players and Thommo could also miss a few evenings. With the lack of players at this level from this region we may find it tough to recruit quality.

Also the lads on the bench if your struggling to make the 14 which get on the pitch, it must be a pain in arse to travel for 2 hours to sit and watch when you want to play.

Thought that when I seen Headly on saturday popping to the food kiosk on Saturday.

Abserloutely gutted last season was my best player never moaned just got about his business done alot of the nitty gritty for the team what went unnoticed. Whoever gets him from here are getting a fantastic footballer in my eyes and also is a very nice lad when I've spoken to him I'd like to wish him all the best and hope everything works out for him.

A real shame for him too because he's easily better than Northern League quality.

I echo the comments about Gott. He looked a bit disappointed when he was warming up on sat. I thought he deserved a start.

Unless work commitments have changed for him, I would of thought he knew it was going to effect him when he signed for us last season.

He must of known we wanted to climb the leagues

Can we organise something for saturday (if he is still here) to show out appreciation?
Standing ovation , guard of honour at the end of the game or something?

yeah, great shame as he has been by far our most conssitent player but then that is typical of the problems facing a part-time NE club in the Evostik lancashire (erm north). Severely limits our player pool. Taking out university players and those with generous flexi-arrangements it ain't easy at all.

Says that Pilatos is on trial thought we'd already signed him. If Gott goes he might be used as a replacement.

LOLOL leaving do's at your workplace must be a right celebration!

I reckon a standing ovation will be relatively easy, so long as people don't purposefully sit down.

If he is still about on Saturday the tin shed will give him a warm reception of some sort.

The thing I don't really get, we havn't had an abundance of midweek games this season, does he work Saturdays?

Dont forget, Craig works nights. Going to be difficult fitting in all the travelling involved and a week of night shifts.

We do the same we do for every player who has left us in the past?

Applaud him warmly and a few chants during the game to show some appreciation. A guard of honour for a player who has been with us for less than a year seems a bit extreme!

Dunno whether to laugh, cry or puke.

Actually no, I'll just go red on your behalf, and cringe.

Saturday is my last game before I move back to uni - can I have a guard of honour too?

nope but you can have a standing ovation, try not to confuse it with people clapping and just happen to be stood on the terracing at the same time.
