I'm not sure who he attacked. Some reports say own fans, other say Coalville fans, but either way its incredible footage and I hope the police and FA take action.

There is no justification for that behaviour. If it had been a fan he would have been arrested, charged and bailed not to attend any football game pending court case.

Bet the player is feeling ashamed today as this has done the rounds of social media,

First and foremost clearly the player shouldn't have reacted like this.

I don't actually know what you could say that is so bad you are picked out at the back of a stand by a player, does feel like there might be a bit more to it.

And Spen. If it was a fan who does stuff like this then rarely does it get picked up, most often a club will get fined for failing to control spectators then it is up to them what they do.

Fans will spit/grab and throw object at people on the field of play. It is quite amazing because those surrounding them tend to become momentarily blind to their surroundings when asked what happened.

I'm not defending his behavior in any way but we should remember there is two sides to this story, we don't know what led to this altercation so I will reserve judgement on him.

They way I'm looking at from the footage is that they were both out of order.

Why am I not surprised that when a non-league player is involved, the club's action is swift & appropriate, but when the player plays in the Premiersh1te & is worth a few quid they fudge the issue & allow him to continue playing after a short holiday?

Maybe he was just trying to impress the new gaffer...

The things that stick in your mind. I read the first couple of paragraphs then had to google Woodhouse as I was convinced that I had bought/scouted him on Champ Man before. I was right (but could have found it out from the original article).

What an eventful sporting career he has had so far! Moving from football to boxing then back to football while he was suspended from boxing (for assaulting a police officer).
