I don't go to Heritage Park to listen to the pre/half time/post match music.
...but Saturday's selection was particularly dismal. (Tinkerbell and Gregorian chanters?)
Take a leaf out of the Premier division clubs and have something vaguely upbeat and inspirational?
Only my opinion.

Re: Music
You sound like a barrel of laughs! While we're at it lets also field 11 foreign players and charge £30 admission like most premier league clubs.
For what it's worth I thought the music at half time was very good and I also noticed several Heritage Park main stand regulars tapping their feet and wiggling their oversized hips to one or two indie classics.
Keep up the good work Scott, although a bit more Simple Minds (the name being apt for some of the kill joys on here) wouldn't go a miss, (Waterfront, Ghost dancing or I-travel to name a few).
The half time music is just a bit of fun at the end of the day and I very much doubt people travel 12 miles out of town to listen to music blasting out of tinny speakers.

Re: Music
I noticed the music yesterday because the sound quality seemed much better/ clearer than usual. That was over near the hot dog stand.

Re: Music
Whilst it's not to everyone's taste it is at least diverse. And we rarely have the same songs week in week out. I like seeing what curveball is coming next. And sometimes you get a "I haven't heard this in years song". Keep it up Scott. It's better than hearing Avici three times in the space of an afternoon
Re: Music
I think the sound is better since we purchased the mixer and play the music through our airport express. As for the music, I try to have a bit if everything. Pre match is normally dancey as this is what the players want for their warm up. Can't please everybody but I try to play a bit of everything. As I say , it's 80's Wednesday, so be prepared.
Music
Was trying to rack my little brain into what I played different to the norm on Saturday. I really can't see what is wrong with the selection .
Pre match was upbeat, avicii, addicted to you. Beyoncé and shakira, beautiful liar Freemasons remix, chemical brothers, hey boy hey girl. To name a few.
Half time: stone roses, waterfall. Inspiral carpets, this is how it feels. U2. The style council, shout it to the top.
Full time. Electronic, getting away with it, Adam and the ants, stand and deliver. Kenny logins, danger zone. Terence Trent Darby, wishing well.
Not a bad coverage of different tastes in my opinion. Can you give me an idea of some of the music you would like to hear SFG?

Re: Music
Bring in some songs of your own then, I'm sure Scott would be happy to add some of them to his playlist.SFG wrote:I don't go to Heritage Park to listen to the pre/half time/post match music.

Surely on Wednesday it should be something from "Cammell Laird Social Club" by Half Man Half Biscuit
Re: Music
Excellent choice. "The Referee's Alphabet"perhaps.Darlingtonia wrote:Surely on Wednesday it should be something from "Cammell Laird Social Club" by Half Man Half Biscuit

Re: Music
No you didn't. Last non Darlo game I went to, they played the same song before kick off. At half time and then when we were leaving the ground. It was like the episode of father Ted where they only had one record.shawry wrote:fixed that for youdickdarlington wrote:Whilst it's not to everyone's taste it is at least diverse. Re: Music
What about paying for requests to be heard and any dosh goes into the B2D fund or the club? Could be a progressive scale for example £1 if played 30mins before the match, £3 @ 20 mins, £5 @ 10 mins and the very last before KO £10. He who pays the piper boosts the fund
