He left after last year because of work commitments those work commitments have come back again.

Re: Harrison
No idea what he does? I imagine his unavailability is what prompted the move for Walker that and the circumstances at Durham.HarrytheQuaker wrote:Nothing to do with work, no more weds games now..
I don't see how Walker being judged better answers where he has been for the previous 3 fixtures when we didn't have Walker.
Re: Harrison
As has been mentioned, Harrison can't make midweek games due to work commitments which is why he originally left. He came back when we only had one midweek game left (before the multiple postponements) and has missed those re-arranged games. As we've now only the Easter Monday fixture left he'd have been available for all so Gray clearly thinks Walker is a better option given he can cover more positions and especially as Harrison will be in the same situation of not being able to play midweek next season. With the budget being tight Harrison probably had to go - that's football. He may well end up back at Durham.
Re: Harrison
Bummer, I liked Harrison - great player for this level.
Re: Harrison
He hasn't left the club, just struggled with work commitments. He is still with us,

Re: Harrison
That's good news. I saw something on twitter earlier that would have fitted with him leaving. But glad he's still with us.uncovered wrote:He hasn't left the club, just struggled with work commitments. He is still with us,
Re: Harrison
resigned for durham....
Re: Harrison
Mmm, just seen that on twitter, yet Harra said this morning that he was available for selection. Guess things change day by day.
Re: Harrison
MG gotta make unpopular decisions I suppose....reckon we'll all miss Harra
Re: Harrison
Are we actually sure this is correct, I cannot believe that MG believes Walker is better than Harrison?

Have you seen Walker play?Certainly looked the part on Saturday and has about 10 years less mileage.Dont get me wrong,I like Harra but if we can't rely on him being available then things have to change and I don't think we'll go far wrong with Walker.
Re: Harrison
Yes I have seen him play Twintowers, and the squad we have now can only realistically be for this season, if we do get promoted and want to get promoted again then we are looking at a big step up from where we are today and probably not that many of the current squad really being good enough.

There all naughty, naughty boys
Re: Harrison
"not many of the current squad good enough"....based on what? Is it your minuscule knowledge of the league above?
Re: Harrison
The plan was for 2 promotions every 3 years, wasn't it? So if we do go up this season there's no desperate urgency to go up again next season as we'll be well on schedule. F
Remember that our ground may not be ready to take another 2 promotions in the next 15 months anyway.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: Harrison
The target was 2 promotions in the first three years, not 2 promotions every 3 years, but your point remains valid. There is no urgency for successive promotions. Provided we are promoted either this season or next the board's target will have been achieved.Spyman wrote:The plan was for 2 promotions every 3 years, wasn't it? I'm sure there have been further discussions about subsequent targets but they have not been made public.
Alun's promise to the fans: “I’ll make sure I’ll bring players in that are value for money and I want players that want to play for Darlington Football Club, want to progress and move up the league and show the fans that passion.”
