Bloody hell!

Amazing how many injuries you can get from a few friendlies

Balls. Well I was keeping my money back for that one, as I was on holiday for the Barcodes and Sunlun games. If I'd known that the Boro game would be off, I would have gone last night.
I'm a bit gutted about that, truth be told.

Personally I think Todd is playing it safe, maybe there are one or two niggles but playing against Boro is putting the players in the shop window again, and also it is a match we are certain to lose. Perhaps he wants the 0-0 to Hamilton to be the point we build from, instead of a good dicking off Boro.

The more I see from Todd the more impressed I become.

Yeah, fair points. I wasn't expecting them to put it on just for me, I'm just disappointed. Oh well, Leeds at home's my first trip back this year then.

If the money from the match was going to the administrators all along then what is the point in risking injuries to a small squad.

Superb move by Todd, Raj.

It looks like Todd made that decision, Raj has no control yet.

It does make you wonder surely it can't be that bad that we've had to a cancel a friendly?!

If the squad is that stretched now imagine what it's going to be like in the league!

I agree, Toddy could put the youth team out and take the revenue off a 2.5k? gate quite easily, it doesn't add up.

I think there was around 1,000 for the same game last season? Still not a bad turn out for a friendly and it brought a bit of money in.

And I agree it is strange!

Only 1000?, that surprises me, I should remember I was there but did leave after the 5th went in so maybe you're right  . Even 1000 will give us a tidy profit for the night though

There were nearly 5,000 last year.

No there wasn't.

Sorry micra but people tend to post in the first thread they come across and this one is more active than yours!

And I take it Singh is unhappy about the match being cancelled?

Mr sing was going to bring alot of people to the game and believes that it would have been an exciting match. Plus middlesbrough is his home team and he really does like them.
Out of all of the teams we were scheduled to play he really wanted to play middlesbrough the most.

Attendance last season for the Boro game was 5811 (3193 visitors). I think your getting mixed up with St Mirren where there was only 1135 (289 visitors).

Yeah but at the end of the day surely the games were a formality?

The whole point of them was to raise some much needed funds for the club?
