Re: Night Out
How do you know what the fixtures are? They've not been released yet have they?

You learn something new every day.
If you're not going to stay in Darlo (it's not great but you'd be supporting our local businesses), I'd shout Durham. Great night out.

Depends on if you like easy women with two heads and polyester dresses and a gypsy stalker
Waiting for Raj to shaft them!
Re: Night Out
If you stick to the Grange Road end of town Darlington can be a good night out. There is a travel lodge on the edge of town but a taxi is only £4 normally.

Re: Night Out
As said by someone above... If you're wanting a good night out... Stay in Durham!

Re: Night Out
After travelling from Kendal ... The extra mileage to Durham isn't worth it, especially Bank Holiday weekend with all the "yakkers" from the villages ploughing in for their annual fight. ( I worked there for thirteen years ..., unlucky for some ) .... Darlington is fine. Like anywhere else in the country, it depends where you go. August Bank Holiday will be pretty lively - especially the Sunday afternoon/night!Darlo Till I Die wrote:As said by someone above... If you're wanting a good night out... Stay in Durham!

Re: Night Out
There is plenty of choice in Darlington for all age ranges so let us know your age range and then those of the same age can respond as I know my son does not frequent the same pubs as me.

Re: Night Out
If you drink real ale Darlington is the place, at least 6 good pubs in town centre and snooker club have a good choice of well kept ales. Plenty of other pubs and restaurants.
Re: Night Out
In town centre we have a Real Ale Pub called the Quaker House, 2-3 Mechanics Yard that's in between Skinnergate and High Row.
We have a snooker Club bottom of Corporation Road which also sells real ale, that's out of town centre. Depending on whether you want Entertainment or not, The Forum has live music on as do various pubs like the Railway Tavern and the Quaker House. If you want cheaper beer and entertainment your looking at Working Men's Clubs which we have a few of, PM if you want any more details and what specifically your looking for
