Yes, he's still a Liverpool player. All that has happened is a fee has been agreed.

Very unimpressed, clapped a Sunderland attack and shot out on 60 minutes by a fuckin utter bellend steward (complete with his body guard) straight into the the arms of a bellend copper, could tell by both parties they wanted me to kick off for an arrest so just walked off. Fuckin pathetic, £12 to the Darlo fund and they pick on fans like that, pretty sure they needed to fill their quoter of arrests, either way terrible and I hope I never meet that knacker out and about.

11, Mitchell was MOM for me his work rate today outstanding.
Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. The image on the right will be constantly updated with the latest total so please feel free to use the image link below the thermometer on your own signatures, blogs, websites, etc.Image

Thanks to the Shoutcast lads. Do they have an email address as I don't do Twitbook? Had intermittent loss of the commentary today, but hopefully that's down to the weather between here and there. Still a site better than waiting for updates on this board. Keep it up lads and thanks again.

Portas looks a useful player, thought we had Chandler back!!

Jameson had a good half and Mitchell/Hatch ran their hearts out.

Weren't you the one going on from day 1 that there would be some sort of problems? Seems quite a strange coincidence you end up getting thrown out. Trouble just happens to 'follow you around' I guess?

No one gets kicked out for "clapping an attack". Why don't you tell us what really happened?
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

Aye, probably, but this was ridiculous. The steward had a body guard with him, all I did was overly clap a Stephen Fletcher shot, if I'd have know it would be like this I'd have a few with me like a proper away game, but you don't expect it at a fundraider/friendly, pathetic, really pissed off about it to be honest.

I'm being serious marra. When the rain stopped we asked to go in with the Sunderland fans and that steward was also a bell & wouldn't do it. Went back to the main stand and then another steward came over when I 'overly clapped' . Could not believe it and think they'd been told to expect trouble and in the end just picked on petty things. It's pathetic, I just did not expect it at all.

It's a fundraiser, I'm from Darlo , I know loads of the Darlo fans !?!?!? e.g. If the Darlo RA had a fundraiser against Darlo and you had insufficient tickets would you just not go to the match or would you try the RA END !?!??!? If I'd known it would be a piss take I'd have been with the lads and tret it as a normal game & take no s***...either way it's tranpsiring that these 'ultra stewards' were actualyy from Sunderland !?!?!?

I am starting to envisage what 'over-clapping' in the Darlo end might have looked like now though. I am sure there were plenty of others who didn't get picked out. You must have done something to be spotted?

You're not really coming across very well here. Probably just as well your friends were not there otherwise the game may have been overshadowed by other antics if that's your first thought about the stewards actions. Let it go. And focus on the pluses. A decent looking Sunderland side who have a had a first run out. A good challenge for our lot. And money has been raised.

I've let it go marra, it's a shambles though, never expected it at a Darlo game.

I probably fit the description of a hard looking mo-fo :-) I definetly got the impression the Steward wanted me to kick off.

You'd have to be pretty skilled to get kicked out today. Plenty of Sunderland fans in the darlo end without a hint of bother, seemed to be a friendly atmosphere everywhere - obviously apart from near you!
