Glenn Taylor
Glenn Taylor
I’ve just played football with a lad from spenny called Connor Shanks (scored past us in jan). He was telling me that Glenn Taylor is on 1k a week (as a teacher) and has interest from Birmingham. Also apparently Spenny are going for it this season.
Re: Glenn Taylor
It would be something of a shock to say the least if a Championship side was in for a 33 year old who has never played higher than National North. Hasn't Taylor also rebuffed any interest from full-time teams previously because he wanted to remain as a teacher along with the considerable vibes that come with his part-time football at Spendy.
Re: Glenn Taylor
Early on his career I should have put the interest from Birmingham. Again this is coming from this Shanks.LoidLucan wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 8:09 pmIt would be something of a shock to say the least if a Championship side was in for a 33 year old who has never played higher than National North. Re: Glenn Taylor
If he is on a grand a week teaching, he must be more than a bog standard teacher. If true I hope he isn’t going on strike for more money
Re: Glenn Taylor
I'm sure Taylor will be delighted that one of his team mates is going round telling randoms how much he earns.
Re: Glenn Taylor
You’re a teacher and you can’t spell nowhere correctly??

Re: Glenn Taylor
I think you should clarify where the interest is coming from in Birmingham - more likely to be the Building Society than City & West Bromwich Albiondarloed19 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 8:13 pmEarly on his career I should have put the interest from Birmingham. Re: Glenn Taylor
Never understood all the fuss around him, he knows he has found his level - he has a good scoring record at this level, but nothing that would say he would be good enough to play league football.

Has there ever been a season since we dropped into the northern league, where Spenny havent been "going for it"?
Sure the inland revenue would like to know more about where all this money that was due to them ended up!!

Re: Glenn Taylor
Yet Groves is still propping them up by the looks of things, Chandler and the coach now full time, Ainsley director of football and signing 6 or 7 players.May be wrong though if season ticket sales have reached record proportions and they have launched a boost the budget?loan_star wrote:Has there ever been a season since we dropped into the northern league, where Spenny havent been "going for it"?

HMRC still have the option of pursuing personal liability claims against GAS directors over the mountain of tax debt. They have already been critical about the way things have been managed.

And who could blame them, total incompetence by Groves pursuing his obsession with his Spenny fantasy project knowingly owing HMRC £6.7m.LoidLucan wrote:HMRC still have the option of pursuing personal liability claims against GAS directors over the mountain of tax debt. Re: Glenn Taylor
Think the lad was winding him up. They couldn't keep Lundulu or Blackett, Tait is looking elsewhere due to wage cut. They have made seven signings, of which Ben Pollock would appear the standout name. Couple of lads Gateshead let go, couple from Bradford Park Avenue.

Re: Glenn Taylor
Montgomery in goal is a good signing but that more to tie in with his other jobs/business. Hardly as if they paid gateshead a fortune signing fee
I may not live in the north east anymore but i still support the north east teams
