I'm not going, but at least this time the clubs have to agree a price (or alternatively the FA will set it), so there shouldn't be as much controversy as last time. There's bound to be a bit of a nasty atmosphere though, which is a shame. Hopefully we win - the prize money available in the FA Cup would be a great help for us.

From the FA Rules on prices in the Qualifying Rounds

Qualifying Competition
Immediately after the draw is known, the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree the prices of admission subject to the following conditions.
Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be:
In the Extra-Preliminary, Preliminary and First Round Qualifying: £3.00
In the Second and Third Rounds Qualifying: £5.00 
In the Fourth Round Qualifying: £6.00

A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned. The away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home Club’s spectators if agreed by both Clubs.

The price of admission for children and senior citizens must be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned.

Correct, the minimum is 3 quid, if both clubs can't agree, then the FA will step in and set the price

Ah the FA step in. Probs best not get their attention too much then! I was going to say how else could the price be set if there isn't agreement, other than revert to minimum.

Lets be honest if MJ can make 2k for Darlington Football Club by us being charged say £7/£8 per adult I can see him doing it.

That is not a dig at MJ, it's just a fact he will look to achieve some financial gain for DFC out of the game. Although I couldn't see him agreeing to a charge of £10 either. West normally charge about £7/£8 for FA Cup games and I can see this being the same once we have no doubt checked what costs West have so MJ can have a rough calculation of what DFC will make.

Don't forget that West will be hosting the worst behaved fans in the world - so will need an army of stewards to control the hordes about to descend on their prim and proper club - at great additional expense - so the money left over for sharing with Darlo will be minimal.

Jesper will be aware of that though, I am sure he is working out an average attendance of say 1.2k with average charge per person of £5 (kids and concessions pulling price down) but adults at £7 or £8.

This giving around 6k in gate receipts, if Policing and hosting the game costs say 2k then Darlo would still make 2k. However this is what MJ/LD will want to understand before agreeing the pricing. If we are not going to make anything then might as well have the cheapest price possible.

Only question mark would be can you find out the costs for West in hosting the game in advance or will they just tell you after agreeing the price.

What are peoples thoughts on a team? I suspect this may be a physical encounter with West being up for it so i'm tempted to leave Thommo on the bench and throw Robinson in.

Then bring on Thommo/Fisher/Purewal/Hatch depending on how the game is looking 2nd half - i know this does not fit in with current formations but we may need to bolster the midfield until West tire.
