Droylsden
Mutual lack of respect. Could get nasty. Hope we keep our heads and play them off the park, but huge game (Again).

Is Dave Pace still in charge?
Re: Droylsden
I think I read one of the top scorers had gone to Ashton Utd

Re: Droylsden
They're the top scorers in our league apparently, which really surprised me.
Re: Droylsden
They are indeed top scorers and only know one way to play and that is to attack teams. Hopefully that will help us play football on Saturday.
When we played them away we were great in the first half, and really looked dangerous and it was only a matter of how many we'd win by, until the crowd trouble and their sending off. From that point it became a much different game. They were quickly back into it and then sat back, defended excellently and picked us off on the break.
Hopefully it remains 11 v 11 on Sat and they play their natural game.

They also concede nearly two goals per game on average.Darlo_Pete wrote:They're the top scorers in our league apparently, which really surprised me.
If we keep our heads and play anywhere close to our best, we'll come out on top.

Re: Droylsden
I think we'll turn them over on Saturday. They seem to be slow starters and always leave themselves much to do in the 2nd half, but they have a knack of coming back at teams. If we can get a lead and keep the pressure on them I think they'll find us a tougher nut to crack right now. 4-1 to us in front of about 1200.

Re: Droylsden
Weather looks like being decent and the crowd should be pretty decent, well over 1000.
Re: Droylsden
I think they are one of the best sides I've seen this season. They did the classic 10 man fight back at their place with a lot of pace down the wings. We have the beating of them but we have to show them respect - like we did at Northwich (Flixton).
One game at a time.

If we play to our best and keep 11 men on the pitch we don't need to worry about the opposition.

Standing water in the centre of the pitch despite work being done on it today.

Re: Droylsden
Pitch very wet with standing water in the middle, pitch inspection at 9am according to Droylsdens twitter.
There no rain forecast at all for tonight or tomorrow so hopefully the pitch soaks it all up and we have a game on tomorrow

Re: Droylsden
Hope we get a great result, but personally gutted that I'm stuck at home listening to the commentary on the internet.
