Just go to www.whatpub.com and type in LA1 5PE which is the postcode for Lancaster's ground. You then see a list of pubs with of the facility details in order of radial distance from the ground.

How many do you think will make the short journey across to Lancaster next Saturday?

Great opportunity for Gray to go and see what Lancaster are all about playing Spennymoor on Tuesday. Hopefully spendy give them a tough game take a bit out of their legs ready for Saturday.

.... our last Saturday away game?.... at a guess .... 400 or so. It's certainly one of the shorter and straightforward of destinations. The more the better ....

1hr 45min trip and a very big game in our season, I am guessing at least 500, in fact this one is much quicker to get to than Scarborough away.

The hardest bit of this is the final few miles into Lancaster with the one way system. We can sit back on Tuesday night and watch the scores/results which have no real effect on our position and await Saturday.

The John of Gaunt in the Market Place is a good one as is The Borough opposite the Town Hall. The Water Witch on the canal towpath was decent the last time I was in. If you can't find a decent pint in Lancaster, you aren't really trying. It had two breweries, Mitchell's (whose buildings still stand) and Yates and Jacksons but both went years ago.
Best of luck. I wouldn't like to call it between you and Salford City.

I would recommend you stay on the M6 and exit at J33 (Lancaster South). The distance may be longer but the time saved by avoiding 75% of the one way system will be worth it.

I've been in that one-way system and it's absolute murder and just grinds to a halt on bust days.

400? i'd guess at least 2-300 more that that - i've not been to many away games this year, but will be there - i know a few others going that are similar to me.

Far easier to get to from NE by road than Scarborough or Salford

Also Darlo is cheaper, sexier some times, you only get maximum of 180 mins per week of torture or 180 mins of pleasure depending (and lets face it that's considerably more pleasure than most get at home per week) and last but not least you don't mind talking to others about Darlo for hours...........

With Darlo we are allowed to have our own opinions as well and there's no chores.
