Re: For Exiles - where are you?
I'm not sure I'm an exile as we only have the team and no family links but first game was Southport away in about 1978. There's me and my sons and then there's a loose collective of about 12 others who've travelled over the years including 9 to the trophy final. I've met exiles based in merseyside at Mossley, bamber and the sun reading Quaker kopite who lives near the diddymen. I know they're probably not exiles but you have to admire the three or four lads one in red docs who I see everywhere travelling by train. Flixton, cammell laird and a night match at Wrexham...hard core!

We had the DAFTS, but had legal problem maintaining a register (600 addresses), what with the freedom of information act. See the website.MKDarlo wrote:Bletchley - if only there was a club or association for all of these long distance fans..........

Re: For Exiles - where are you?
I'm going to lay a claim to be being the furthest flung exile. 10,167 miles to Blackwell Meadows from here.
I do have stunt pegs on my bike if anyone wants a croggy.

Yes I am in Yerevan Armenia, so could club up with Mr Tibbs to drive 3000ish miles back for games. I am one of the many people grateful for the live radio and post match highlights.

We should buy an old marshrutka, paint it black & white, and drive across Europe picking Darlo fans up along the wayjohninskopje wrote:Yes I am in Yerevan Armenia, so could club up with Mr Tibbs to drive 3000ish miles back for games. Re: For Exiles - where are you?
Keep a look out during close season, as I expect 100 plus more to post locations in to this thread.
e.g. a lot of students should join the thread as colleges re-start in August.
I hope some supporters can benefit in some way from finding neighbouring exiles.
Good response internationally Darloism seems to be going global.

Re: For Exiles - where are you?
After sixteen years in the Americas, South and North, I've just come back to Europe (Portimão, Portugal). My last League game was Morecambe away (a 3-0 win, 2008 maybe?)
