Presume someone from the club would answer this, if not the person asking the question might legitimately think it's a club account that posted the article and if no answer came might feel ignored.

I really couldn't care less what's posted as I know it's a helpful auto generation from Mike but in the future this thread will have disappeared

... when the guys who could answer it get back from work maybe then they might answer it. We don't have official staff waiting at the other end 24 hours a day to respond to the likes ....

That's why the sig says it's an automated service - similar to the old "emails sent from an unmonitored address" disclaimer you get on customer service stuff etc.

What do people think to the following proposals:
a) Take the red username off it so it isn't so obviously a sea of red threads
b) Make this disclaimer more obvious if it is being missed

I definitely think make the disclaimer as obvious as possible. For those who are less computer literate it would just emphasise that it's not actually a person and therefore subsequent posts may not be seen be a club representative. Causes me no issues, but I can imagine in it's current guise it may confuse a few.

I like the red -- makes it immediately obvious which is an official site story.

I'd be happy with both of those.

As I've said it's not a major issue, just wondered if others thought anything similar.

I'm with gramps with this one, and I heard similar comments on Saturday. Look at Page 1 of the board and its littered with stories from the OS. It's meant to be an unofficial board with no ties to the club. If it's something important then yeah by all means but not everything needs to be put on imo. Its detrimental to conversation. I think the amount of posts have reduced even since we were in the NL. Now where is Pete to confirm...

All I care about is that it doesn't become self-aware and start killing people.

As long as that doesn't happen then I'm fine with it.
