Colwyn Bay away - for travelling fans
I've been exiled in Colwyn Bay for the last 7 years and I'm really looking forward to going to the game on Saturday with a few friends.
I thought I'd give travelling fans a brief bit of info.
The ground is on Lanelian Road which is actually in Old Colwyn about 2 miles from Colwyn Bay and there is a friendly bar at the ground.
There is an excellent pub on the main drag in Old Colwyn called The Red Lion - always have a superb selection of real ales and a decent atmosphere and about a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the ground. Also, if you carry on up Llanelian Road into the countryside there's a great old country pub called the White Lion. There's also a decent Wetherspoons in Colwyn Bay but other than those 3, the pubs are a bit hit and miss.
Llandudno is about 5 miles away and has everything you'd expect of a seaside town.
Hope this is of some use to those travelling.

Ta for the heads up.
Because this is a European match, do away goals count?

I'd be happy with a draw from the first leg, take them back to HP under the lights, you know that European atmosphere you get. Do I need me passport

No but Velcro gloves will heighten the experience

First game of the season for me - a right PITA on the train due to engineering works but i will be there!
EDIT - if you are coming from the south by train remember to check the trains back. The west coast line is being dug up at Stafford which is reducing the number of trains. For instance the very useful Scotland - Euston via Brum trains aren't running.

Wellingaway could be worse you might have been exiled in Rhyl or Towyn!
My mates Buttercups and Daisy said to tell those travelling by car that the A494 always stacks up at Queensferry (or before) on a Saturday, before you join the A55. You might want to add a bit of extra time to your journey especially as it is bank holiday weekend and the Day trippers will be heading to the North Wales coast. You have been warned!

Worked in the Bay 20 years ago, looking forward to going back.
I always remember someone telling me it had one of the highest death rates in Europe due to the fact Scousers and Mancs retired there and then popped their clogs.
On the train if I can make it,nice journey along the coast in parts.
