Camera recovered and a question re: money donated
Camera recovered and a question re: money donated
Hi everyone,
Today I've been told Blyth have the missing camera in their possesion and it will be returned to us as quickly as possible.
There is a statement on the site:
http://darlingtonfootballclub.co.uk/goal-cam-recovered/
In regards to the money raised what do you want to do with it? Should we use the money to attempt to secure the cameras (I've looked a few options including cages which with a few locks and security chords could work) or do we donate the money to charity?

This is what I was looking at:
http://www.genustech.tv/collections/gop ... ero-3-plus
The entire camera and housing fits inside and its locked with an allen key. As you can see it has holes in so we could use a padlock and a security chain to secure it to the post / fence.

Is there enough for a drone so we can film the game from the air?

Could be worth offering the guy who put in £145 the money back. No doubt he will just donate anyhow but it's a reasonable sum and if it's not needed for a replacement camera he may want it back.
Re: Camera recovered and a question re: money donated
It does seem highly prudent to use the funds as Kev has suggests. I'm happy to donate if required.

Based on a previous experience, I'd go and have a quick read of the GoFundMe small print first. It may be that there's a need to contact each contributer to see if they are happy to have their contributions redirected if it isn't used exactly in line with the original pitch.
Alun's promise to the fans: “I’ll make sure I’ll bring players in that are value for money and I want players that want to play for Darlington Football Club, want to progress and move up the league and show the fans that passion.”

Maybe 2 cameras per goal - May give a better view on some goals - lock them to something though.

I'm happy to leave mine in for what Kev suggests - sounds like a useful upgrade.
Can you get higher capacity batteries for them - to save having to go out and change them at half time?

Can a camera be bought and attached to Marton Gray? Would love a full 90 minutes of that action!
