Not sure what formation it is. Maybe 4-3-3, with either Thompson behind the two strikers or Thompson and Cartman either side of White ?

Surprised Army is on the bench again

There was no formation at the back for the Hyde games, but having Galbraith & Scott in may provide some better support against "down the soft centre" counter attacks and set pieces.

39 year old against defenders with fresh legs......3rd time lucky?

The quick subbing/resting of White on Saturday may tell us something about Armstrong's match fitness, but there again there is no Dowson if Armstrong is under par.

Looks like 4-3-3 Cartman and Thommo off White., with Galbraith in for Watson.

Ilkeston FC were only formed in 2010 following the liquidation of Ilkeston Town FC which had been in existence since 1894 but who were wound up in the High Court over an unpaid £47,000 tax bill. Unlike the Quakers, who never went bust, Ilkeston were allowed to start afresh in Evo-Stik NPL Division One (Southern Section).

and they're managed by a former Poolie.

So is it Scott left back, Galbraith left midfield and Thompson upfront?

For those not on twitter From Stoddart.

16. Alan White has now reverted to centre-back, looks like Portas up front alongside Cartman. Hunter right-back, Mitchell r-midfield. 1-0

Strange team selection tonight not bringing an extra striker could prove costly. Portas up front why not play Thommo up top alongside Cartman with Youhill out wide.

Pretty sure some said it would not happen, anyhow it ain't worked so far! Portas up front is more of an unusual move, thought Thompson was a striker when we signed him, leave Portas in CM and play Youhill wide instead of Scott!

@CStoddartEcho: 33. Durrant does well to dash off his line and save from Portas with his feet after the Darlington man had been played in by Thompson. 1-0

@CStoddartEcho: Almost 2-0. A Darlington defender (Burgess or White, not sure which), got a touch to a r-wing cross to take it off the head of Lee Ndlovu.

@CStoddartEcho: 37. Quakers had been the better team for 15 minutes, making inroads in the opposition half, and then Ilkeston twice almost score. 1-0

Craig Tweets that we were the better team for the first 15 minutes - this is becoming a habit.

@CStoddartEcho: Ilkeston thought it was 2-0, but foul given for a push on Peter Jameson. Seconds earlier Ilkeston could have had a penalty, Ndlovu tripped.

Sounds to me like half time can't come soon enough.

I can't understand Gray's thinking at present bringing in two wide midfielders who are struggling to get into the team. Then ignoring what is blatantly obvious to everyone that we need a right back and a striker.
