Re: Tonights games
Some decent scores for us, if they don't change.
Re: Tonights games
Salford 89th minute penalty
Re: Tonights games
Scored, Salford with yet another late winner, the man united effect is certainly rubbing off.

Re: Tonights games
FT 2-2. I know we really shouldn't be overly bothered about others results, especially at this stage, but any points Salford drop are good for us.

Of course we should, that's a free 2 points , we are not far off half through the season , massive bonus for me.Sidarlo wrote:FT 2-2. I know we really shouldn't be overly bothered about others results, especially at this stage, but any points Salford drop are good for us.
Re: Tonights games
.... agreed .... we ALL enjoy other teams slipping up ... of course we do. Its part and parcel of being a supporter.
They all love it when we come a cropper ffs .... and not just in our league.
Well done Matlock .....

Re: Tonights games
Neville's tweet were funny anyway! Good to see after his tweet about us the other day. They have three in hand six behind, not too bad for us!

Re: Tonights games
I do enjoy the silence when Salford don't win, no retweets from the official account, no Gary and Phil special tweets (retweeted onto my timeline as I don't follow them).
I still think they are likely to win the league mind, I am happy for us to be in and around challenging and hopefully making the play-offs - possible point deduction will likely make this the only option.

Re: Tonights games
Think they're something like 15 games won in a row away from home across the two seasons.
Looking forward to playing them at HP on Dec 15th, it's about time we put one over them. Feels like very little pressure this time too.

Re: Tonights games
Yet they've only won 1 at home this season. Must be quite disheartening being a Salford fan, unless you're one of the handful which go to away games. Let down after let down at home. Long may it continuedivas wrote:Think they're something like 15 games won in a row away from home across the two seasons.

Nantwich only scored in the last minute too - been following their games and get the feeling that teams are starting to find them out.
After a less than convincing start to the season I think Hyde are the dark horses to watch out for.
Re: Tonights games
Yes, Hyde are flying. Fully expect them to be in the top 5 come the end of the season if Scott Spencer remains available - he's way above this level, 19 goals already this season
Re: Tonights games
.... Salford have actually won an amazing 18 league games on the trot away from home ... Impressive at any level, regardless of who is behind the scenes.
Despite two home defeats against Hyde, Scott Spencer aside, they were ordinary and far from spectacular, which about sums up this league.
A big jump in class for sure, but apart from one or two strugglers at the bottom, who have sieve like defences, we're all much of a muchness. Even with a minus 12 handicap, I'd fancy our chances of a top 5 finish. Our current points per game ratio would ensure that ... but we must keep up the momentum and not let the side issues affect us.

I see thru his twitter feed the Darlo fans have been having a go at Mr Neville!
Hopefully he doesn't have the last laugh.

Salford's game against Notts County is going to be televised on the BBC, they'll pick up £65k for the pleasure.

Re: Tonights games
There's a big game in the Northern Premier League tonight, as Whitby are at home to Blyth, if it survives the torrents of rain falling at the moment.

Re: Tonights games
given where they are based geographically you would expect him to be plucked by a Conference North/PT National side before too long.
Stockport perhaps - only scored 15 goals in 14 games...

Re: Tonights games
He was at Stockport before Hyde
Re: Tonights games
Wonder if Altrincham might fancy him. Got to think might be a risk that if he continues doing so well the salford express might role into town.
Re: Tonights games
... Alty STILL have the prolific Damian Reeves who has scored goals for fun for them for years now ... Indeed, I think we were after him when we were in the heady heights of Conference football (maybe even before then ... my memory fades with age ha ha).
... the whole Salford show going on behind the scenes makes signing Lee Gaskell so impressive. It's not as though he's below their standard ... he's shear class for this level ... and he's ours .....
(Aido waits for breaking news shocker lol.....)

Re: Tonights games
There's a delayed kick off at Whitby this evening as the Blyth team bus got stuck in traffic on the A19 and only arrived at the ground at around the scheduled KO time.
