FA Trophy - Mossley Match thread.
Re: FA Trophy - Mossley Match thread.
Turnbull's absence will be a huge blow, best midfielder in the league and instrumental to the way we've played this season. Guess we're probably looking at 8-12 weeks or so. Silver lining is that we've only 1 game per week for the foreseeable.
Re: FA Trophy - Mossley Match thread.
Gray's interview is worrying in the sense that how can a few back up players win a game and influence him that much. Let's hope there's not more to it.

Yep, I don't buy that the Saturday's performance was the root cause of his moodTDS wrote:Gray's interview is worrying in the sense that how can a few back up players win a game and influence him that much. Let's hope there's not more to it.

We have played much worse at times this season & his interviews have been more upbeat than Saturdays.Never acknowledged the fans in the stand which was unusual after a win.

Looks to me like his mum told him to tidy his room. Fancy speaking to Ray like that

Whats the betting we get the furthest journey possible!
Re: FA Trophy - Mossley Match thread.
I can't believe he was in that mood just because
of a performance. There's something else amiss at the club or he's brought sommat from home.
We all have bad days at the office and under the circumstances would probably have been wiser to have a quiet word with Ray and explain he wasn't in a good place to be doing press. I don't expect a manager to have to come out at every opportunity and interview.
Let's just hope he hasn't heard something about -12 pts.....

... thought most of us had accepted that scenario on another thread ... if/when ..... we take it on the chin and move on .... not the end of the world.

In the draw... anyone whose name doesn't begin with the letter H.

Team of Giants knocked out by Stocksbridge today

Whitby home or away might be a good draw for us in the next round. Would mean a pretty decent crowd and you'd fancy our chances of progressing.

I like your positive thinking AIDO, but if Gray does have an inkling that a harsh point deduction is coming, then he will be well pissed off!AIDO wrote:... thought most of us had accepted that scenario on another thread ... if/when ..... we take it on the chin and move on .... not the end of the world.
A years preparation and effort could well be at risk for the sake of a clerical oversight. The season COULD be wasted. And it's not as if there was any skulduggery going on either, we had nothing at all to gain from that scenario.
On the other thread there is mention of the Marine situation, and their subsequent points deduction being the same as ours - well I hope that it isn't the same and feel that there could be numerous things that make our case different.
Would a harsh points deduction happen in top 4 English leagues? I very much doubt it.
But I'm not sure the points thing was why Gray was sulking. If it was to do with yesterday's performance I would say it's unfair - as a much changed team, on a wet pitch, won the game.

Very impressed with Youhill yesterday - best player on the pitch. Hopefully starts getting some more runouts in the league, although of course he's competing with a very good player in Mitchell.
Nowakowski looks decent - a bit rusty, as expected, but a good player.

This could be why he was in such a mood some players enhanced there standing and he might have to make some tough decisions who plays ha! ha!
