Weather tomorrow

Post by Darlo_Pete » Fri Nov 06, 2015 10:54 pm

Could the game be under threat tomorrow, as pretty heavy rain is forecast tomorrow in the Bishop Auckland area from 9am tomorrow?

Could any post from darlo_pete be blocked if posted on a Friday and contains the words "weather", "rain", "off", "risk".

Just a thought.

Whilst I understand this is a regular occurrence from Pete, he may have a point. It is very wet and the forecast suggests the rain continues

You'd expect it to be off. Heavy rain in Darlo at the moment so expect Bishop is the same. Forecast is for rain all weekend.

As I said game was under threat and sadly I was proved right. Hopefully the early postponement will have stopped any of our long distance or Buxton fans from starting there journeys.

Pete, you come on here saying the game is under threat everytime it rains on a Friday or Saturday morning...As has been said, you are bound to be right at somepoint..
I don't know how bad the pitch is but I live about 7 miles from the ground and the sun has been out since about 11.45 and is still out now.

To be fair, the pitch was cutting up quite badly against Mossley last week. To be expected as that was the 4th game on it within 7 days.

Hopefully a 2 week break does it some good, plus it gives us a bit longer to get a number of players back (Burgess, Portas & Dowson).

Bishop Auckland and the Sunderland Reserves will no doubt have games on the pitch between now and when we again at Heritage Park.

I thought Sunderland Reserves had an agreement to play their reserve games at HP, perhaps I'm wrong, it has been known on the odd occassion.

Bishop Auckland don't have a home game until Saturday.

Last Saturday to next Saturday is the two week break.

We are scheduled to play Durham at home next Sat, no game midweek for us.

Some work on pitch scheduled for this week to hopefully alleviate drainage issues.

Sunderland Reserves do not currently play at HP.
