Do you agree the state of the current pitch furthers the argument for a move back to Darlington?

Called Off Games Recently

Post by JonathanBarber » Thu Nov 26, 2015 10:26 am

Hi,

My name is Jonathan Barber and I am a trainee journalist for the Northern Echo.

Would anybody be able to give me a comment for the Echo regarding the games being called off and how frustrating it is for fans?

If you could do this by leaving a brief view on here, leaving your name and age, or email me at jonofrancisbarber@hotmail.co.uk, that would be great.

Thanks very much!

The games are just as likely to be called off in Darlington as Bishop Auckland.

Jonathan, the Heritage Park pitch will be like Wembley compared to a surface shared with a rugby team at Blackwell Meadows.

Jonathan,

It is irrelevant if we are in Darlington or Bishop Auckland, if the weather is against us and we do not have full time ground staff the game will be called off.

It is frustrating but look at the amount of games being called off in the Durham area.

Games got called off at Feethams a lot.

There are much more important reasons to moving back to Darlington than this one.

.... matches being called off because of the dreadful weather have nothing whatsoever to do with furthering our move back to town. You call it an "argument" .... It isn't that either. Our return to Darlo is inevitable .... sooner or later. The weather doesn't come into it. Darlo Pete will still be on here with his doom mongering every time we have a passing shower or when we get a white Christmas predicted in November ......

I think it's more than a passing shower Aidan, have you been outside lately?
