Location of new Darlo Stadium ?

Post by footifan » Mon Jan 11, 2016 4:49 pm

Well guys the Power Ball Lottery over here has just gone up to approx $1,400,000,000...
yes 1.4 Billion ... after tax around $800,000,000 approx 533,000,000 pounds.

If & when I win ... I have a good chance I won $25 in the last draw, so I am getting closer  ...

So a serious question : Where in Darlo would you like the new stadium built ?

I had a 10,000 to 12,000 capacity in mind, with reasonable parking but not on the edge of town, as I would not want excuses for not supporting Darlo because the stadium was all the way at the edge of town... despite a next to free shuttle service !!! To keep the Arena location whiners quiet

Is there a brown field site that would suit ?

Obviously there would be an injection of cash available for team strengthening. Which areas need it so we can win the league this season ?

Then of course the target would be Football League status as quickly as possible.

Should we keep the same management team or go for Pep Guardiola at the end of the season?

Serious suggestions only :o

Keep your fingers crossed for me.... Ticket holders have a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the world record sum.
I think I will buy 2 tickets... just in case ;)

Buy a second and odds still 292.2m to one, but go for it!

Feethams Council Offices would be an ideal demolition site for DFC.

Take an aerial view on Google maps ,of Darlington there are two/three areas not far from town centre ,but costs would be enormous, best to win this lottery then say what you would like to do for DFC,good luck with your plan ,we try every week, ha ha. but hay ho that's another story.
Roll on Blackwell medows deal let's get it done and dusted.

Ive always said we should shift the cricket club at Feethams. They only use it in summer, and only then when it's not raining.
There's a good stadium down Neasham Road that the cricket club could share with a rugby lot.

Well I guess the $6 I won will not be quite enough for a new stadium

It had as much chance of getting off the ground as Ted Forster / Darlo Pete farce... actually more chance

Do not worry though I will keep trying... :D

The top prize $1.6bn was shared between 3 tickets, a sizeable $528.8 (£366) million each, though not the biggest prize ever which was $590.5 million.

Not quite Barons Court...
They'll still need to pay 39.6% in federal income taxes on their prizes. After giving Uncle Sam his share, each will take home $187.2 million... approx 127 million quid

Hardly worth getting out of bed for

For $6 we could buy Chimp-Choker Park, scrap most of it and use some bits for BM.
