Whitby v Darlo
I know it's over 2 weeks before we play at Whitby, but it seems that lots of our fans are talking about the trip on Easter Monday. I reckon we'll take well over a 1000, possibly nearer to 2000 for the crucial game. How to get there is the problem for me. I don't want to drive, but I don't fancy what will be a packed late train back from Whitby either. If I was Andy Park, then I'd be able to walk there!!

We will have a healthy contingent at Whitby and unfortunately, in my opinion, plenty of idiots who will be attracted to a bank holiday away game on the coast
Re: Whitby v Darlo
CAR PARKING ~ Likely to be huge problem in Whitby on an Easter Monday. Get there really early!

I'd suggest travelling on the supporters bus but I'm not sure anyone could stand your annoying comments face to faceDarlo_Pete wrote:I know it's over 2 weeks before we play at Whitby, but it seems that lots of our fans are talking about the trip on Easter Monday. Er, I think I could pull through listening to pete's comments while sat on a bus. Slight over reaction
We will do well to get 600-750 to Whitby. We get 1 to 1500 for a home game.

Re: Whitby v Darlo
We've got 5 games before then, the Whitby game won't enter my thinking until then.
Every game is massive, just some are more hyped than others.
And our following will depend on what happens between now and then. Keep winning and we will take loads.

Real Ale bar in the MAX hotel on the cliff top next to ground. Some free car parking available, but cliff top pay car parks along coast road towards town.
Train takes ages and may not be working at Easter, EARLY car travel is best if you want a day out.

I agree, 1500 is very realistic.BUSHEAD wrote:1,500 Darlo if we don't lose between now and then .

We must if took around 800 to Bridlington the same time last year, I reckon we'll take over 1000 this time, bank holiday weekends always attract a higher crowd, hoping to get down myself, had my car wrote off so I'll have to see if I can get seats on the supporters coach

Re: Whitby v Darlo
Surely the supporters club will be running more than one coach to this game? I'm sure there will be plenty of demand.
