It's bollocks. See the official website:

Safe to say silly season is under way.
I feel the club would have been better off just ignoring it.
Now, even the most outlandish rumours will need a reply, otherwise people will take a lack of response to mean the transfer will happen.

Re: John Campbell
I think the issue here is that the made up rumours doing the rounds on twitter last night included a photo shopped official website screenshot quoting Martin Gray as saying John Campbell was to be re-signed by the club. I think it's because of this that they have felt the need to reply.

I agree the club should ignore all rumours unless they are malicious.Darlogramps wrote:It's bollocks. See the official website:

Now is not the time to cry
Now’s the time to find out why
I think you’re the same as me
We’ll see things they’ll never see
Darlo’s going to live forever!

Campbell what a laugh. Someone is up to mischief. I guess when you're a team on the way up, lots of players are going to want to join us.

He's a thick, chavvy, buck toothed bellend.
Decent footballer mind, but Hardy, Gaskill, Cartman and Amar are all that without being the above.

Re: John Campbell
Really? That's bad form - isn't there a Twitter rule or something against that? I would call that libel.BlackandwhiteBOB wrote:I think the issue here is that the made up rumours doing the rounds on twitter last night included a photo shopped official website screenshot quoting Martin Gray as saying John Campbell was to be re-signed by the club. Surely it's possible to figure out who posted it first and report them.

Re: John Campbell
Weird when the very people on twitter who organised the 'wind up' then spent the next day saying 'what a load of stupid c**** we have for fans'.....eh? Surely it happened how they wanted it to?
