Mark Beck
This must be why he did not feature today, he must still be waiting for international clearance from the Scottish FA/Wrexham, good job as we don't want another Bell issue

Re: Mark Beck
I think it'll be from the Welsh FA as he last played for Wrexham. He must already have had clearance from the Scottish FA to play in England as he signed for Yeovil after playing at Falkirk.
We don't have a game until next Saturday now, so we'll hopefully have the certificate by then. Thompson also back for this game too.

Re: Mark Beck
Was Bell not Callaghan.
Re: Mark Beck
I was impressed with Gillies yesterday, very tricky with very good close ball control. Looks to be a very good signing. Thommo may have to bide his time to get back into the team.

Re: Mark Beck
The Welsh FA are a joke when it comes to this sort of admin stuff... We've had so much trouble with them at Swansea over the years...
Re: Mark Beck
Well spotted, Beck would have fitted in well. Good to see the team digging deep and in the end getting a point, especially after having the penalty shouts denied.

It was Anthony Bell, rather than Callaghan that was the international clearance issue last season, IIRC.poppyfield wrote:This must be why he did not feature today, he must still be waiting for international clearance from the Scottish FA/Wrexham, good job as we don't want another Callaghan issue

Re: Mark Beck
Ridiculous that we are still awaiting clearance - we signed him 13 days ago.

I presume that the Welsh FA only works one day a week?

Darlington have finally obtained international clearance for striker Mark Beck. He goes into the squad to play Boston on Sat at HP (3pm).
