Can't wait for the new series, especially as we won the league. The programme is now being advertised on the BBC.

I would prefer some publicity for Darlo rather than none. I bet you watch it Ingleby!Ingleby wrote:Mods can you delete this s*** please.

I'm looking forward to the ending personally

And encourage the BBC to commission more of this crap. Don't think so.bga wrote:I would prefer some publicity for Darlo rather than none. I bet you watch it Ingleby!Ingleby wrote:Mods can you delete this s*** please.

At risk of being controversial, I really enjoyed watching the first series. OK, the obvious bellends aside I thought it was an excellent insight into a non league club and how they operate day to day, regardless of what you think of them.
Yes, it's publicity for egomaniacs, but didn't we have similar just a few years ago with the GR story and the birth of the Arena? I found that pretty funny in places, if a little nauseating!

I enjoyed the series. Interested to know if ingleby thinks the documentary should be replaced with one about a premier league team. Gives non league some of the spotlight

No not a Premier League team. A proper non league side without these bellends would be fine by me.D_F_C wrote:I enjoyed the series. Interested to know if ingleby thinks the documentary should be replaced with one about a premier league team. Gives non league some of the spotlight

With respect Ingleby, you've missed the point entirely.Ingleby wrote:No not a Premier League team. "Ordinary non-league club goes about it's day-to-day business" won't get any significant level of interest from television viewers.
Like it or not, a few well-known ex-Man Utd players taking a non-league club up the leagues will be of more interest.
Not that Salford are the only non-league club with an interesting story to tell of course. Whether the BBC are justified in repeatedly focusing on Salford is another debate.
I did enjoy the first series though and thought it was really insightful and well put together.
