Tuesday night's game

Post by Darlo_Pete » Mon Aug 22, 2016 7:12 pm

A bit game over in Lancashire, AFC Fylde v Salford. If neither team win, then we'll go top on Wednesday with a win over Chorley at home.

If Fylde win and we only draw with Chorley then Fylde will stay top.

massive game probably a title decider. But not quite as big as our game with Chorley.

The main thing about AFC Flyde is their new stadium - even FC United will be saying look what we could have had...

OK so that was the easy bit, now all we have to do is thrash Chorley tomorrow night....
We shouldn't be fretting about what other teams are doing at this stage of the season, just concentrating on keeping a clean sheet whilst sticking away chances at the other end -if only it was that simple.

Hopefully the chance to go top tomorrow evening, will add a few extra to tomorrow night's crowd.

I know, but even the chance to go top even at this early stage of the season, would be a fantastic start to the season for Gray's team.

Pete, for all we have made a good start, the table at this stage of the season means little. There will be many changes from now to the end of the season.

Going back to your original point, I would be extremely surprised if we had more fans there tonight because we have a chance of going top, with 38 games still to go!

Combination of good weather and our great start to the season, will put extra on tonight's gate.

Yes, but what won't put extra fans on the gate is having the chance to go top, as you originally said!

That's on top of the extra fans who are already going for that reason.

Anyway I've gone for a whopping 1500+ tonight in the prediction league. Lot of interest being shown in the club this week on Facebook.

Some folk will want to see a potential Team of the Month and the Manager of the Month performing and will actually be able to drag themselves away from the goggle and google boxes.

Being able to go top is interesting and an attraction to a lot of local people, but the Echo's editor doesn't seem to understand that.
