Where's Gilles? #fuckyoutrollinggramps

Seriously, is Gillies injured? And the centre backs too. We're looking a bit makeshift.

Also, why is our away end a third of the touch line, the whole of the far end (+300 seats which are there but don't count). It is the same space plus more than we got for FCUM. And that was for 650 fans, not the 350 allocated at HP. We should be giving away fans up to the goal and one of the golf stands. And give the home fans the second one. Gives the oldies a chance to sit down. And gives everyone a bit more space.

Good crown in already tonight.

1-0 Stockport. Header back to GK by Galbraith not strong enough.

Seriously depleted team tonight. If Gillies is set to be out for a while it would seem to be a good time to bring Nightingale back from his loan spell.

Not sure. Could be because there have been no other games on at the same time we've been playing. No Champions league on TV etc. I think we are the only game in England tonight!

What an impressive result given a patched up team. We certainly have character.

Stockport dominated possession and territory, but 3 glaring defensive errors aside we were pretty solid. Actually our best spell was the last 15 minutes when you thought we would be under siege. Mitchell hit the bar late on, overall I think we were worth at least a draw.
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

If I'm honest, I'm just pissed off the chant of Gillies, Gillies, Ossenfeffer Katzenellenbogen By The Sea didn't catch on.
