And we are 0-1 down, Nathan Jarman gives Gainsborough the lead on 22 minutes after a mistake by Gary Brown, misjudged the bounce and in nipped the striker. 0-1

Nathan Cartman makes it 3-2 to Darlington, in the right place at the right time to poke home a Beck knock-down. 75mins.

Good to see Burgess back - we looked a bit more solid with him in there. Defence is still a concern, but we have some very good players going forwards - and you can add Syers to that list too.

Cartman helped change the game when he came on. Hardy has been superb so far this season, but he had a quiet game today, and it could be time for Cartman to have a chance to start.

Seemed a funny game today thought it was boring but ended up 5-2 somehow but we looked far better playing football second half with runners off the ball.
Atmosphere was missing today as well

Cartman has a better footballing brain. The chest down that led to the 3rd penalty, and the dummy for the fifth good examples of why he should start next week. We were poor first half, especially at the back. Gray righted it bringing Burgess on and moving Galbraith to full back, as Watson lost every header first half. Having said that, for ten minutes after they equalised i thought they might go on and win it. Syers made a difference, and looks a class above. It's a long time since we had a midfielder making those runs into the box. Just not sure Gray would ever go with a Syers, Thompson, Gillies midfield from the start.

A very strange match today. Felt we played pretty well for the first 20 minutes. Got the ball into some good areas and felt the goals would come at some point. Their goal was against the run of play and I think it knocked us back a bit because the spell between their goal and our equaliser was pretty poor from our point of view.

Looked like we'd taken the game by the scruff of the net early in the second half but I felt our midfield seemed to get deeper and deeper after that and I felt after their second goal they might go on and win it. However the changes MG made today swung the game. First Burgess and then Cartman + Syers.

Cartman was absolutely brilliant. As someone else said on here he has great awareness of whats going on around him. Felt his performance more than anyone else ensured the win today. Felt overall we played some nice stuff but they were quite physical at times and a bit of a handful.

Good result.

Cartmsn was indeed brilliant. Changed the game. His movement is a cut above. Syas way too good for this league. Genuine box to box player.

Syers is a cut above. Player for the conference?

There are some good players in this team. I'm certainly hopeful of the playoffs. Not sure there's any catching Fylde right now.

Good result today, against a fairly decent side.

Our first penalty was a definite one, as was our third. The second one was debatable which appeared to be only spotted by the linesman. To be fair, it's about time we had a stroke of luck because Beck seems to be clambered on/pulled down every game.

Gainsborough's penalty wasn't a penalty. Sadly the referee buckled on their penalty as any blocked shot by our defence in the second half was a penalty appeal according to them. There were 3 shouts before Falkingham was adjudjed to have handled. Arms were raised but the ball actually hit him in the chest.

Syers came on and looked quality with his link-up play and runs between their defence and midfield.

Another weeks rest now, which sounds strange after the hectic end to last season and the beginning of this one.

Don't be silly.

Fylde are 4 pts ahead in mid-October - there's still 6 and a half months to go. To say there's no catching them at this stage is daft.
