Being thousands of miles away,i feel powerless to help so i need local reliable info. please

It's mayhem over here but we're nearly there!!

Just a thought so that you can feel a bit more involved. Have you tried accessing the BBC iPlayer for the BBC Tees local radio programmes. According to Beeb most radio progs are available overseas - apart from some live sport. So it might be worth a try.

Follow http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/tees/hi/

There should be a listen again button top right.

Let me/us know what you are able to access - Tees sport is 1700-1900GMT live and the iPlayer stores a week's worth of programmes to listen at leisure. Also the John Foster programme does a sports update at about 0730GMT.

If you do have access we can give you a heads up if there is something interesting on air.

Thanks WR. My short wave can pick up Tees. Any news about this ridiculous episode???

I thought only BBC World Service was on Short Wave?
