2 for both. Home shirt number 1 is no different to the ones we've been using the last few seasons.

It's got to be the hoops, can't see any other design being picked when hoops are an option

It's a very disappointing selection. Can I vote to stick with this season's shirt?

Home - Option 1 at a push 2. I do like the arms on 3 but not the barcodes on the front.
Away - Option 2 but 1 is acceptable

I do like this seasons shirts and have bought both of them for the first time in years. Shame we can't stick with them, the money made from sales is the sticking point with that...

Why no long sleeve versions?
They would have covered up my 'George Reynolds is God' tattoos.
Also would prefer luminous shirts so the lads can see the team better when passing in the gloom of Blackwell Meadows' lights.... ;)

I have gone for 4 and 1, the diagonal stripe is a bit different, the away shirt is, well just a red shirt. But have to say the away shirt this season will take some beating in sales.

Personally don't mind option 3 for the home shirt, so voted for that alongside option 2 for the away shirt.

Some old designs... http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Darling ... ington.htm

Looks like our first known shirt was vertical stripes.

Quarters would have been nice, and perhaps a white with red trim option as used throughout the 70s...

Less than one third of all the historical shirts on that link are hoops.
I know we've predominantly had hoops since but that's because people started saying it was out tradition.. which is now only true because we made it the tradition!

Either of the Diagonal ones for me! Although I know they'll be 2nd and 3rd behind the hoops but ahead of the Reynolds stripes

Our tradition is white tops in various styles and black shorts.. that's it

1 for the home shirt
2 for the away shirt - almost maroon so matches my 2nd team of Hearts :)

Why don't our shirts ever have a collar, like they used too?

Collars arent in at the moment on football shirts... Leeds have a very small one... Didnt we have one on last season's home shirt?

The quartered one that was an option last year beats all those designs in my opinion.

And option 3 is surely a piss take ?

Option 2 for home and option 1 for away for me.

Not that fussed about the away shirt tbh but option 2 is the stand out for the home one imo.

Home - I like No. 2 but tradition sways me towards No.1. Wearing No.4 walking down the street would slow down traffic - motorists would think there was a bend ahead.

Away - No.2

The away shirts will just be training tops converted to a football shirts as all previous Avec away shirts have been and you can buy the usually for £20 without sponsors and darlo badges on... And before anyone pipes up yes by buying them you are supporting the club and I've bought the last 2 seasons home and away shirts..

Of our 134 years, at least 62 seasons have seen us in hoops. With 19 years unaccounted for. Plus we know that our first ever kit was hoops because we wore the rugby clubs kit. That's significantly more than a third. I'd suggest about half our kits will have been hooped in one form or another.

It's also a striking identifier. We're the only English team to wear black and white hoops (when we do). It's almost a beneficial brand for us. Plus, our most successful seasons have had us in hoops. There's also value in the legend of that.

I'm not against mixing it up every now and again. As long as the shirts are smart. But I'm staunchly in favour of using the hoops to create/foster an identity for the club.

Though we often just use horizontal stripes as there is nothing on the back, so hoops is a stretch.

I've largely always preferred the away shirts and do this time too.

The old kit selection is interesting. Looking at it brings back memories, good (mid to late 90"s) and bad (11/12). I especially like the 71/72 kit. Minimalistic and hoopy.

I think kit 2 for me this season, as it's a change. 1 is ok too.

Think everyone likes this one unfortunately it breaches a certain German companies copyright (as far as I am aware)!

Which is why is it in 1998 we have like a 4 hoop version.

Every season we've had vertical stripes since I started following Darlo (93-94, 94-95 and 03-04) we've been colossally rubbish and wracked by boardroom grief, plus I associate the design with Reynolds.

I only really wear the kits for playing football in (love the new one, don't love the fact that I've finally graduated from an M to a L) so feel like I have less right to be bothered about this than the people for whom they'll be a wardrobe staple, but I quite like both the diagonal ones, perhaps especially the zanier of the two. Really think it should be the (half-) hoops though, even though I agree that the idea that hoops are a 'tradition' is slightly spurious. I'd call the design in the late sixties 'banded' rather than 'hooped'; we didn't play in thick hoops from the early fifties until the Conference promotion season.

Have we ever looked at having an adidas kit? That would get around it - didn't Fulham have a kit with 3 adidas stripes across the chest?

Would prefer we invested in a local business to be honest for the sake of 3 hoops.

Doesn't stack up to me that adidas are that bothered about us though I mean it's hardly like people are going to confuse 3 hoops with it being an adidas kit - but then again I know brands fight tooth and nail to protect their identity.

This was the Fulham shirt I was thinking of - not really what I thought it was:

Totally agree with this last bit. You can spot a Mag or Mackem shirt from the modern (60's onwards?) era a mile off. We need to do the same - I think we're very much getting there by keeping going with the hoops. It all helps with the sense of identity and tradition....something the FA tried to fuck us over with but failed...

Who chooses the options? Whoever decided to include option 3 is a knob. There's no need for stripes.

Option 1 home.
Option 2 away.
