Not happening this year from the Conference Twitter "Clubs debated the idea of North and South Promotion Finals being played at one stadium on same day. Majority not minded to support this year"

I presume the play-off structure will be identical to what we've got used to over the last few years? With the home advantage to the team coming second in the league?

I've got to say, I'm not totally against the idea of it being hosted at a neutral venue. But the venue and host town/city has to be sensible/desirable. Of which MK certainly seems neither of those.
Secondly, the event must be managed well. I went to 'non-league finals' day last year, where they hosted the Vase and Trophy games at Wembley on the same day. The event was woefully managed by Wembley, running out of food and drink in the ends where the early games were played, refusing to get more because the demand was no longer in this area and then only giving fans the choice of leave and don't get back in or stay and have no sustenance.

According to this Pete, they are two-legged affairs with the higher placed team playing at home in the second leg

Wondering if it was "not supported" because of the venue's owner and club rather than the concept?Darlobaz79 wrote:Not happening this year from the Conference Twitter "Clubs debated the idea of North and South Promotion Finals being played at one stadium on same day. I don't think any neutral should be considered until the teams are known and where they play and as it's only a few days before a game would take place, it would therefore be impossible to organise.
