Get in, you can always count on Syers for a goal. Pleased for Cartman as well.

What's happened to Hunter by the way, is he injured?

Sometimes results will go for us and sometimes they won't. If we now go on a good run, then other sides will fall behind us.

Other teams around us meet each other over the next few weeks so we just need to pick up wins against the lesser sides and go on a run.Still settle for our run in.

Wilczynski makes a great save in a one on one break.

Another great save from Wilczynski from a freekick. Sounds like Boston are building up a head of steam.

Syers nearly makes the game safe from a Galbraith freekick, as the game goes into injury time.

Big one for me this. Live only 19 miles away.

They got the ball out wide well and aren't a bad team at all. Can see why they beat Chorley. They had a 25 minute spell in the 2nd half where we couldn't get the ball and the keeper made some great saves. However, weathered the storm and a good 3 points against a team who I think will take points off some of our promotion rivals in future matches.

Both sides were off the pace in the first half, but Darlo took their chances. In the second half Boston changed formation and had most of the possession but the Darlo back 4 and keeper were all in great form. Pitch was very heavy and sanded so both sides preferred to hoof it. Big penalty shout late on in front of the home fans but the ref (who was right by the incident) didn't fall for it. Solid performance by all 14 in the end, back to the form of the away games earlier in the season.

Think they confused our two Liams! Marrs was great on darlofansradio. (As was commentary) especially when asked could he pronounce our new keeper's name...."no, I just call him Ed"!

Very good result there yesterday. Once again we go in front of the big crowds (for this level) and get a decent result (FCUM, Stockport, Harrogate etc).

13 games now left to go. 8/13 are against sides in the bottom 9. Anyone can beat anybody in this league, but we have an outside chance of making the play-offs if we stick to doing the basics right.

We have played Curzon, Boston & Nuneaton twice and they are capable of taking points off teams that are currently in the play-off zone.

Darlington need to practice to be more solid at defending, now that they have the numbers in place and they should make the more of counter attacking possibilities (e.g. supporting attackers when they actually do receive our clearances)

With Thompson, Gillies, Cartman & Hardy around up front with Beck and with Syers in the gaps we have a good chance of getting a winning run together, to secure a play-off place.

Play-off money would be welcome, but a promotion would be a massive incentive for fundraising from the local public.

Putting the Crystal ball to one side, I am looking forward to being at the next 3 league games.

We can win our home games with our support IMO and only away games at Salford and Fylde out of the top 10.
There are quite a few 6 pointers so we have a big chance of making the playoffs especially as we have tightened up at the back and our new keeper looks very solid.

Really good win yesterday on a shocking pitch. Boston were one of the poorer sides I've seen this season especially first half. Cartman again right place right time and Syers with a belter of a finish first time put us two up.
Second half I expected us to kick on but Boston were probably the better side and really got a grip on the game when they made their two substitutions. It was a real backs to the wall job but defensively the lads stood firm and we managed the game by running the clock down and closing it out for our first away win since October.

Looking at our upcoming fixtures now is the time to start putting a run together.

With Harrogate and Altrincham at home, Worcester & Stalybridge away then two more home games against Brackley and Bradford followed by an away trip to Gainsborough, we should be looking to take 16/17 points from the next 21 against some of the leagues poorer sides.
