So who do you want to be relegated Blyth or Farsley>
I guess most people on here would prefer Blyth to stay up. But personally I think Farsley would be far less of a threat next season and I think Blyth could offer a lot more competition for players in this region, especially if they get this new investor on board.

I'd prefer Blyth to stay up; local club, honourable history and decent fans who've had to live with a drastic loss of form which we should empathise with. We had a good win there and they showed plenty of spirit that night - spartan really so it's rough old Farsley for the skids for me.Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:09 pmI guess most people on here would prefer Blyth to stay up. Of course Farley but, given the fixture I expect it to be Blyth

This 'investor' is clearly a fraud. Any potential players will be well aware of what Steve has done and the feel good factor so I wouldn’t worry too much about competition.

Should be Rushall as they’ve not got their ground issues sorted yet have ‘found’ money to splash on loans from Fzl clubs to keep them up.

As a gateshead fan i do actually hope blyth stay up as opposed to farsley, cant believe blyths second half od the season. As for the new owner is that all it seems or are they total conmen?
I may not live in the north east anymore but i still support the north east teams

Read the room Pete. I honestly don't know how you can be so out of touch sometimes. Blyth's new owner is looking like a billy bullshitter more and more each day.Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:09 pmI guess most people on here would prefer Blyth to stay up. If he spends money, which I doubt, he'll pull the plug in no time. He's no Uncle Brad.

Released today about Southport's owners - quite grim reading in part.

I'm allowed my opinion, as are you. Apparently Blyth is only 12 miles nearer to Darlo than Farsley and when you take into account the bloody Tyne Tunnel, there isn't much difference timewise between the two. I still maintain that Farsley would be less of a threat next season than Blyth, but time will tell.Ghost_Of_1883 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 11:24 amRead the room Pete. The Tyne tunnel is not an issue any more since they took away the toll booths.
I’m hoping both Blyth and Farsley survive due to Rushall getting the push due to the lack of completed ground improvements

Rushall will not complete the required improvements in 17 days. Their hope is to get a bit of the work done and pull on the heart strings of the FA to give them an unprecedented extension to an extension. That should not happen as it will set too much of a precedent. I'm not too fussed about the extension until the end of April, despite ourselves not being given one, due to the difficult financial times we live in, but another one, just no.
Interesting timing about the fact that Rushall have gone public about having a financial backer to improve their ground, because it will not make a difference to the work being completed. They are either going public to get support, or are giving themselves a get out clause as they can conveniently announce that the 'funding has fallen through'. Either way, there needs to be an announcement this week before the last day of the season.

I think the authorities are now being very flexible with clubs in this position. For instance, Newton Aycliffe have been given until the end of May to get their work done to avoid demotion. They cited the very wet weather as being a factor in causing delays and say the money is in place.

At least Farsley have retained some gallows humour over their annual visit to the condemned cell....

Blyth.
Think it’ll be Farsley though. I don’t dislike either club, I’ve been to both, I just enjoyed Blyth as an away day more. Also, I just want a north east side ahead of a Yorkshire one.

So you want a north east side but you want them to be relegated as well
Re: So who do you want to be relegated Blyth or Farsley>
No, I want Farsley relegated! I just think it probably will be Blyth. Their form is horrendous. Farsley obviously aren’t very good either but have a much easier game of the two.
