Transfer News
According to Craig Stoddart's twitter, we are looking to bring in an experienced player by the end of the day.
Re: Transfer News
Wonder if anyone else is leaving to make room for this signing.
Re: Transfer News
Hope not because we've got a pretty small squad now.
When Hardy left it was supposed to be one out and one in, but the one in never happened?

Re: Transfer News
What position do you think this player will fill in the current squad? Presumably he'll be available for tomorrow evenings game?

Re: Transfer News
I think it will be a forward to replace Hardy, bit thin on the ground up front, pretty happy with defence and midfield cover, so got to be a striker.

Re: Transfer News
I think the Hardy transfer was probably made easier for MG because of the availability to the squad of Wearmouth. Not a like for like player I know but for all intents and purposes it was as good as a new player coming in.Quakerz wrote:Hope not because we've got a pretty small squad now.

They've cancelled his contract so he can go do coaching.Vodka_Vic wrote:Just googled - he's a Poolie goalkeeper.
Re: Transfer News
Would seem odd to be bringing in another keeper unless one is being offloaded

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: Transfer News
Bartlett is on the verge of joining a North East non-league team, could be us but Blyth have also been mentioned.

Re: Transfer News
If it is Adam Bartlett then what happens to Pete Jameson?Thought Bartlett went to Boro as GK coach so either Pete or Mark Bell to go or am I missing something here?.

See Nick Loughlin's tweet; he's said 'wouldn't be surprised to see in North East non-league football soon'.

Re: Transfer News
If it is Bartlett, I dont see the point, unless Jameson is off.
Re: Transfer News
If it is true is this an area we really need to strengthen at this moment in time.

Re: Transfer News
We don't need a keeper, unless Jameson is either injured or he wants first team football. Makes no sense to me.

Re: Transfer News
Noticed Spenny have got rid of Rafferty who has shared the jersey with Lowson, just a long shot but the way Ed is performing I cannot see a way back for Jameson.

It is Adam Bartlett.
Very good pedigree - should improve the squad. Be harsh on Ed if he goes straight into the first team, and one would imagine one keeper would be moved on now too.

Re: Transfer News
I'd say Bell is on his way out because Bartlett will probably be the coach as well as his coaching job at boro...
