Comments in current full league table order,
Top 10, games, played, outstanding etc

Fylde, 17 played, remaining fixture, away at Halifax.
1-2 away loss at Stalybridge. After last week being impressive over Darlington, Fylde loss away at 21st place Stalybridge who score a second half winner. A slip up against Halifax on Friday and Kidderminster could be trailing by just goal difference. Next Friday, at Halifax.

Kidderminster, 18 played, remaining fixtures, NONE.
2-1 away win at Gloucester. A second half goal secures three points for Kidderminster, the possibility of being champions is still alive. They will have to deal with Stalybridge themselves on Tuesday night. Next Tuesday at Stalybridge, Friday, home to Boston.

Halifax, 15 played, remaining fixtures, home to Fylde, away at Chorley & Harrogate.
1-0 home win over Alfreton. A single goal around the hour mark was sufficient for three points. Last Tuesday they earned a point with a 0-0 at Brackley. Three tough Top 10 games still to play. Next Friday, home to leaders Fylde.

Salford, 17 played, remaining fixture, home to Darlington.
3-3 away draw at Harrogate. Salford led 2-0 with less than 10 minutes to go, they conceded three penalties, the last being a 93rd minute equaliser. Salford’s Top 10 form 2-5-1 at home, 1-3-5 away is not reassuring for the playoffs. Next Friday, at Gainsborough.

Darlington, 17 played, remaining fixture, away at Salford.
3-2 home win over Tamworth. A good performance lifts Darlington into 5th place on goal difference with this win and Chorley’s draw. Care is still needed dealing with opponents with deadly strikers scoring goals almost out of nothing, thankfully the Quakers three goals today were sufficient. Next Saturday, at Alfreton.

Chorley, 17 played, remaining fixture, home to Halifax.
1-1 away draw at Nuneaton. Leading 1-0 at half time, Chorley conceded a goal with 20 minutes to go, losing two valuable points and dropping to 6th place on goal difference, with Darlington leapfrogging over them. Next Friday, home to Worcester.

Stockport, 18 played, remaining fixtures, NONE.
1-0 away win at Gainsborough. A goal after 57 mins was enough to give Stockport three points who are now tied for 5th place but are in 7th place due to goal difference (Darlington +20, Chorley +19, Stockport +16). Next Friday, home to Telford.

Brackley, 16 played, remaining fixtures, home to Halifax, away at Harrogate
3-1 away win at Altrincham. Brackley remain in 8th place with a good away win today, chasing the playoff contenders who have a four point lead on them. Next Saturday, at F.C. Utd Man.

Tamworth, 18 played, remaining fixtures, NONE.
2-3 away loss at Darlington. Tamworth remain in 9th place, their fading playoff hopes ended today with this loss. Their Top 10 record has been impressive, fourth best, but 11 away losses has been a major factor in holding them back, 41 home points, just 18 away. Next Saturday, at Bradford P.A..

Harrogate, 16 played, remaining fixtures, home to Halifax & Brackley.
3-3 home draw with Salford. Simon Ainge score two penalties directly, also scores from a rebound after his penalty was saved to score a hat trick between the 84th and 93rd minute as Harrogate come from 0-2 to draw 3-3. Harrogate has the worst Top 10 opponents record, 14 points from 16 games, that can explain why they are in 11th place . Next Saturday, at Nuneaton.

Thoughts
An exciting day today, three points for the Quakers, and Salford and Chorley losing leads to finish up with draws.
What a finish to the season, 29/04 Saturday
SALFORD............. vs DARLINGTON
CHORLEY............. vs HALIFAX
STOCKPORT......... vs Gloucester.
Today we had to beat (on paper) the hardest opponent left to come to Blackwell Meadows. To make the playoffs, we should expect to win the last two home games, and win at Alfreton, and hope that either Stockport or Halifax slip up. Otherwise if Salford doesn’t slip up, we will have to beat them. Today it become more of a seven horse race, down from the ten that's been covered here.

Next week, I hope to be at Alfreton, I’m visiting England for the next three games, so I will see Blackwell Meadows for the first time with the FC Utd Man and Telford games, I’m super excited about it, I’ll be back to Darlofansradio for the Salford game. I will still send out these posts after each game.

Great analysis (as usual). Perhaps one hidden factor, we have been in this position before & the team has been forged in the heat of playoffs so hopefully, we can repeat the success.
Wishing you all the best for your trip so you get the full TinShed experience & some great goals like Cartman& co v Tamworth

If we can pick up three points at Alfreton on Saturday then onto FCUM on Easter Monday I would expect in excess of 2500 at the game.

Yes, playoff experience is a positive in our favour,
Thanks for your best wishes, I'd settle for three scruffy 1-0 wins, but after yesterday's third goal, I also want to see some classic football, four or five passes and a nice finish from Nathan Cartman, a couple of times a game, a Stephen Thompson piece of magic, etc etc :) Not asking too much, just 9 points

If we beat Alfreton, then I'd expect close to a full house against FCUM, given that they'll probably bring 500 to BM. Great summing up of the play-off picture Ginge, although I don't fancy Kidderminster over 2 games, would rather play them in a one off game at their place.

Think Kiddie are having a wobble as they lost to Stalybridge.. Might just be the time to play them, but we have to get there first. At least it is still within our own hands. Cmon Darlo!
