Banners

Watching the highlights of yesterday's game i noticed the banners behind the goal which the Tamworth fans brought. They looked really good. I wondered what people's thoughts would be on arranging some Darlo banners which could be put up for every home game?

Their could be 4-5 which could be great along the back fence and help make the place feel like home whilst also paying tribute to former players/teams/trophy wins etc...

Yeah, they'd certainly make the place feel more like home.

We have some that some fans take away 3 or 4 of them but not seen then at home

I did notice yesterday that the rugby clubs flag was flying on one of the flag poles outside the ground, it would be nice to see a flag for the football club also, even if it's only flown on our match days.

It's also been at half mast for the past two games. Does anyone know why or has someone forgotten to raise it? It took them 3 weeks to put the clubhouse clock forward!

Imagine them letting us fly a football club flag... They made us remove FC from the Vanarama League sign outside the ground.

We only take our flag to away games these days.

Don't really see the point of our flag at the home games.

I like them, think they make the place look a little more lived in.

I sometimes go to the odd Boro game with mates and their South Stand is a good example. Very colourful with lots of banners and flags being waved. Think the stint in the Championship did them a lot of good atmosphere wise, funnily enough.

I don't have one, but i think they're quite expensive to be made as a custom order? Which probably makes it hard at our level because you're relying on individuals forking out. I'd think larger clubs with their groups will all chip in together.

Tamworth ones did look good, to be fair.

The idea being that it makes the ground feel a bit more like home. They could be put up before kick off on the open end fencing - and taken down afterwards. No need to wind up the Rugby club, just something to look a bit different.

Prem Clubs have similar, (Man Utd / Chelsea etc.) It was just an idea.

I got mine done by a company called Barmy Flags. It's 10ft x 5ft if I remember correctly and came in at about £150.

Same as us; good quality. Cost us £220.
