I'm not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere but it's very sad to hear that Joey Hutchinson was left paralysed from the waist down following a swimming pool accident while on holiday last year, and now requires round-the-clock care.
His family and friends are trying to raise funds towards stem cell or any treatment which may help him to walk again.

Any Darlo fans in the midlands might like to help support him by attending the benefit match being held at Birmingham City's ground on the 6th May.

Joey Hutchinson Paralysed
Re: Joey Hutchinson Paralysed
First I've heard of it. I was a big fan of his as a player, he's had no luck at all.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Same sad news. Such a classy defender his distribution from the back was top notch. Shame injuries seemed to hamper him.
Re: Joey Hutchinson Paralysed
Just read about this on the BBC website.
I'd forgotten about Joey to such an extent that I wondered why he wasn't more of a club legend because as soon as I read his name I thought, "Wasn't Joey a top-notch player?".
After re-jogging my memory, it seems I'd forgotten about him due to his long spells on the sidelines (ironically, after an injury-free first season).
Very, very sad news. I wish him and his family well.

Just typical of his luck really.
I feel for him and his family.
