Fixtures out tomorrow
Fixtures out tomorrow
Fixtures are released at 1pm tomorrow. While we know we're going to be away first game is there anywhere antone particularly wants to go on the opening day. Or just as importantly who will our Bank Holiday games be against?
As I'm lonon based now. My biggest hopes are that Brackley and Leamington are both weekend games as they're my closest.

Same here being in South Bucks Brackely and Leamington are reasonable trips as is Kiddie. I am up in the north-east for the first game of the season and that is away so it's likely to be one that I need to be down here for!

Southport away first game would be a dream for me
Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
Excited. Who are we all looking for first?
York, Blyth, Spenny... probably in that order. Great to have those local games.

Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
I almost don't want York, Spenny or Blyth on a bank holiday. I think on any weekend in the season we could get 3,000 attendances for the first 2 and above 2,500 for Blyth. Similarly I think the likes of FC United, Salford and Stockport will attract 2,000+ crowds. As bank holidays are normally bigger crowds could we off set some poorer attendances by having more home fans at these games while still filling the ground on regular weekend games against some of the more local teams and previous competitive rivals (Salford and Stockport).

Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
Wasn't it suggested that our Xmas fixtures were going to be against Bradford. I'm happy with that. It guarantees more larger attendances.
Don't care who we have away first. York would awesome though.
Preference is that we're away on 26th Aug, and home on the BH Monday. That and a distant away day on Nov 25th. Don't care about the rest.

Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
Salford away for me, they've brought in lots of new players and they may not be as strong at the start of the season, as later on. Whoever it is, we have less than a day until we find out.
Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
Hope they remember to loose the 1883 bit but I'm not hopeful. They still have us as 1883 on their shiny new website!!!!
Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
Salford away it is!
Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
annoying to see York on a Tuesday night. Wonder if there's police advice there

Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
I know I can't speak for everyone, but I'd like to nominate myself as west Midlands spokesman in order to point out that the first couple of months are utterly barren for exiles round here. Was hoping for telford or kiddy early on, as it is Salford away is our most local early away day. Rubbish.

Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
As an opening fixture, it's rubbish. Difficult away trip against possibly the strongest side in the division.Darlo_Pete wrote:Wow a prediction that is right!!!! But as you say, at least we're getting it out the way early.
Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
Will have to make the trek back for the Spen game on bank holiday. Some good stuff, but disappointed York is midweek. Harrogate new year and xmas is good, that's a sell out we wouldn't normally get.
Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
It's better to get them early really, as they've had such a big squad overhaul that they may need more time to gel together. Hope so anyway.
Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
First 2 away games are the 2 title favourites - could work out well for us, or could work out terribly! Last game is another tough looking game at Stockport - bit odd to be away 1st and last game of the season 2 years in a row.
Shame York away is on a Tuesday night, and the home game might well be be when it's inevitably postponed

Just seen the fixtures thought i'd see what our friends at virgin trains could offer after 30 mins on the phone one of the questions i was asked was and i quote "is that season ticket holder spelled with an S" that was one of the more intelligent one's so if you are going to contact them have a large one first trust me you will need it. will contact Wayne at dfcsg for my answer.

Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
The t&c's are available via official website but the main one is that Darlington station is part of the journey & the discount applies on East Coast mainline part of the journey.
Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
How optimistic are we - the official site fixtures actually lists the FA Cup 3Q...

Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
Are we likely to have a 500 ticket allocation or has the away allocation increased due to their upgrade of the stadium. Was hoping to take my lad (8 years old) with me.
Re: Fixtures out tomorrow
