August summary and comparison with 16/17

Post by real_darlo_85 » Mon Aug 28, 2017 7:15 pm

So far after the first month of the season we have:

Won 3
Drawn 3
Lost 1

Scored 12
Conceded 7

Total points 12

At the same point last season we had:

Won 5
Drawn 1
Lost 1

Scored 18
Concede 11
Points 16

So as a summary, so far we have not won as many matches and obviously to do that we need to score goals which we are 6 short of what we had at the same point last season. We have had one more clean sheet and defensively have conceded 4 less. However, we are 4 points worse off than at the same stage last season.

Obviously every league season is different but thought there may be food for thought after 7 matches.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Personally, I think we have had a lot tougher start and taken good point's out of games I thought we might struggle in then dropped points in games at home to Telford and away at Ferriby.

This season the league is going to be tight and I don't see anyone running away with it.

Don't believe we have solved our problem up front and expect to see Cartman come back into the fold.

Possible signing this week? Lad sat in the stand today rumoured to be in talks with Gray.

I love the rumour mill. Wheres Roadrunner? I need him to say who it is and confirm the signing.

What about the players we've let go over the past year Lewis wing now getting in Middlesbrough squad not good enough for us ?
Liam Hardy attracting the scouts at Buxton getting hat trick today leading scorer in the evostik.
Expect Fenwick to leave shortly doesn't no the basics offside rule not under contract .
Thursday will see if Fewster comes in.

At Seven games played last season Hardy had scored 4.

Although he works hard Beck is hardly on fire at present. He failed to take advantage of some great balls played into him on Saturday.
