No Brown or Marrs. Interesting to see who will fill in at right back.

Weird how little Wheatley has been used. I don't honestly know how Thompson is starting today, thought he was very poor against Spen.

Caton needs a goal. UTQ

Galbraith will presumably play at left back.

Still fail to see why MG is persisting with Syers over Portas.Wrong choice IMO

Better side here, 0-0 at the break but we've played some good football on the deck. Syers had two chances saved, Thommo's fired against the post and Beck has had a diving header tipped over. Gillies the outlet so far.

Maybe Portas not yet fit enough for 90 minutes? Hope he gets on as sub in 2nd half

Hasn't Portas played right back for us before? Seems a more mobile option than Collins.

We seem to be all over the place in the 2nd half, lucky to be still only 1 down.

Finished 2-0, their goalie MOM, cannot hit a barn door at present, no win in 5 and only 2 goals scored.MG has decisions to make whether to continue with the likes of Beck, Caton and Syers who are quite simply not good enough at this level.Big problems for MG as his budget appears to be stretched.Chorley on Tuesday is a very important game now and they certainly have a strong defence so looks like all we can hope for is a 0-0.

On the commentary the lads were saying that Caton just doesn't want to shoot. Whether his confidence has gone or not, I'm not sure. I think Cartman will probably be recalled now. A mini injury crisis in defence doesn't help either.
However, some funny results today. This year it appears anyone really can beat anyone.

Give me a break.

Beck was voted player of the season last season. Clearly good enough.

Syers also quite clearly good enough.

Caton has played his career as a winger so why Gray thinks he is the solution up front I don't know but the experiment clearly isn't working.

The proverbial game of two halves. They should have been out of it as we dominated first half but we were fecking woeful in the second half. Nuff said.

All about opinions Spyman, you have yours and I have mine.Cannot remember the last decent game Syers had and Beck is missing a hatful of chances this season. We all know Caton is a winger but we have good wingers and MG signed him as a striker and is not the answer as a striker therefore as I said he is not good enough in that position.

Spyman, on Caton's interview when he signed he said that the reason that he signed for Darlo was that he was a striker at heart but previous managers had typecast him as a winger and Gray wanted him to play as a striker again, which was what Caton himself wanted, hence his low matches to goal ratio of previous seasons. I'm hoping that he's just taking time to remember how to be a striker again because he certainly hasn't convinced so far.

Crying out for a goal scorer we've let our most natural finisher go out on loan and then released his replacement clearly we were hoping for fewster who has turned us over. Big questions now being asked of the team and the manager MG has always got it right in the past even when we as fans think he has lost the plot he pulls a rabbit out of the bag and makes us look stupid. Well we need a rabbit now alright
