We hit the community share target

Post by super_les_mcjannet » Fri Sep 29, 2017 8:52 pm

Just had an email to advise the target was hit of £38,300, meaning the £5,551 rolls over to the roof target.

Assuming the target is 50k we now need £44,449 by end of the year which is a good start already.

Email below.

Dear Community Share Investor,

Many thanks indeed for your pledge towards the procurement of the additional seats. The offer has now closed and the fantastic news is that we've managed to hit the target just ahead of deadline with a few 11th hour pledges! This continues the amazing achievement of the fans hitting every single fundraising target which has been put before them.

Hitting the target means that we can soon trigger the collection of the pledges. In line with the terms of the offer we will now collect all GoCardless pledges on Saturday 7th October so please ensure there are sufficient funds available in the appropriate account.

For those who submitted your pledge by cheque we will bank your cheque on Monday 9th October.

For those who opted to pay by BACS we'd be happy to receive funds as soon as possible and ideally before Wednesday 11th October.

Please make bank transfers of the pledged amount to:

Account name: Darlington FC Supporters Group

Sort Code: 30-84-43

Account No: 30283268

Please include your name in the reference.

Once we have collected in all of the funds, we will notify the Football Club in order so that the order for the seats can be placed so the sooner we have the funds the sooner we can get them ordered and in situ to improve the matchday experience at Blackwell Meadows.

If everything goes to plan, the seats should be installed in time for use at the match against York City on Saturday 6 January 2018.

By hitting the Community Share target it also means that the £5,551 collected via the Ground Development fund can be rolled forwards to the next phase of development which will be for the roof - which once finalised will mean that Blackwell Meadows will satisfy the ground grading criteria for promotion to the National League - a great starting point!

We are aware that many of you are still awaiting Community Share certificates and hope to be able to issue all outstanding certificates for the pitch and phase 1 & 2 of the seats in November

Thanks again for your tremendous support.

Great news! I saw it said 100% funded when I glanced at it yesterday but wasn't sure if it was for real or just a glitch which had occurred when the deadline passed.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Onward and upward!
