Alun Armstrong
What does people think of Alun Armstrong becoming our next manager with connections of his Football academy in shildon branching out into Darlington and pushing a certain little shits empire out ?
Bring it on
Bring it on
Re: Alun Armstrong
Is little shits empire the name of his academy? Just got some branding ideas.
Re: Alun Armstrong
Isn’t he at blyth? Why would he take the leap? We need to stop idolising former players.

A little simplistic. Armstrong is a very good manager who's done wonders in a short time at Blyth.TDS wrote:Isn’t he at blyth? Why would he take the leap? We need to stop idolising former players.
There's not much reason for him to leave Blyth though, I agree. They're well run, successful and stable.
Big issue with Armstrong is I suspect he'll make the move to full time coaching in the near future.

From what has been said it is unlikely to be a manager that is already in a job, unless from a much lower division. I think there are plenty of managers out of work at the moment with decent CV's. The fact that they should have a good knowledge of North East football is a big factor for me, adding one or two to our squad we should have enough to get in the play offs.

He were fishing for bites for god sake... Patience is a virtue
Re: Alun Armstrong
Seems an odd thing to go fishing for...
Between him and Hignett? Honestly, i'll be pretty happy with either. The fact that we could attract either, and they're happy with the budget given to them, should be a nice little reminder to Martin that things were not so bad as he made out here.

When the neck end of £100k goes into the pockets of the coaching staff it takes a chunk out of the playing budget.

Thoughts Echo said Hignett did not apply?H1987 wrote:Seems an odd thing to go fishing for...
