In all the circumstances of this week, they did us proud, despite the disappointment of a late equaliser.

Decent game I thought. Thompson's best game for an age. Everyone put in a shift.

Proud of the club

At times in that second half, it was like an end-to-end cup match. They would have been down and out if we'd managed to put away one of those decent chances when we were 1-0 up but they also had chances.
Heard people talking about some bother in town pre-match. Must have been about 14 cop cars outside the ground. Never knew Durham Constabulary had that many officers.

There was an incident pre match at the dalesman which had everybody on high alert.

Then why have 2 vans and 2 cars arrive with blues and twos late 1st half ?

Darlo fans radio said a number of Stockport fans were kicked out.

Good match. Tremendous effort from the lads. Thought 4-4-2 worked well. Maybe Mike Bassett was right after all. Harvey ran non stop and I thought Portas and Galbraith were excellent.

Sounds like a good point, another day we would have had 3.

Rumours of our demise have been greatly exaggerated me thinks!

A few who were stood in the tinshed were kicked out in the second half, although I saw at least one of them get back in by climbing over the fence at the other end.

And they found their way into the upstairs bar.

They blagged they were the Matchball Sponsors and we had no reason to disbelieve them!

Thought we played quite well today Cartman and Saunders could be a good partnership given more time playing together. Thought Galbraith`s passing was a bit poor but there again not a bad effort considering what has gone on this week

Very good match today, especially the second half. Chatted to a few Stockport fans in the first half, who seemed pretty sound. That's more than can be said for the nob heads in the bar at half-time. I was really surprised that it didn't kick off as there were only a couple of police and a steward in the bar and the Stockport fans were looking for trouble. As mentioned above 4 of them came to the front of the tinshed looking for trouble. The stewarding today was hopeless & it was only a miracle that there wasn't serious disorder in the ground. On the way out the cops had arrived mob handed and there were 8 police cars/vans on the access road. Think Saunders missed a couple of guilt edged chances. But it was a great effort from the team and they deservedly got a standing ovation at the end of the game.

I'm totally unconvinced by Saunders. Whilst I admire his work ethic, he has offered very little end product.

Why wasn't the game segregated surely when the fixtures were released that game should of automatically been put on the segregated list... Especially 3 weeks ago they were scraping at York.

Aye, lesson to be learned if we had to boot some of them out. Could maybe have been avoided. It can hardly take much doing anyway. Just put the fencing up in an appropriate position.

I understand your thinking in terms of him being one of the main strikers but today was his first start of the season.

Love his energy, effort & commitment and would play him most times at the minute, is he long term one of our front two then not totally convinced but a good manager should be able to develop him.
