It's in Ontario. In Durham County near Toronto. Nearby township is called Darlington.theoriginalfatcat wrote:If Whitby isn't in the North East - where is it?

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Davey Bogg.
Re: New manager poll
Maybe i should now point out that i was offered the job as first choice at 2.30am on saturday. I knew my qualifications, a Btec in five a side, and four-week experience as manager of Albert Hill WMC C team would impress. I also clearly met the requirements of the Darlo through and through criteria as i was once presented with a raffle prize by David Hodgson and at one time lived just 25 miles away from Andy Toman.
However i reluctantly declined the job offer as i need to complete the exciting long term project of transforming Albert Hill C into the 54th best side in Darlington. Albert Hill will be making no further comment at this time.

Re: New manager poll
Alan White as manager with Micky Cummins as assistant - give us a bit of stability then kick on
Re: New manager poll
I would definitely give Whitey a go, not sure who he would bring in as his number two.
Re: New manager poll
I would love Whitey and Cummins but can't see Cummins giving up a full time coach job at Gateshead for a part-time football team.
Re: New manager poll
Having spoken to Alan it came across he would only be a number 2....

And who did he want as his number 1?

Maddo Vic but people won’t want him because he’s a Boro fan

Maddo wouldn't want to come anyways; he's too busy with all his Boro stuff and organising his new Sunday League side alongside Matthew Bates.

The lure, the kick, the adrenaline of a matchday, post-match interview with Ray....why wouldn’t that tempt anyone away from the comfort of civvy street??

What about Spennymoors number 2 Tommy Miller with White as his number two?

Doesn't Tommy Miller hate Darlo after his time with Hartlepool; couldn't imagine him coming here.Darlopartisan wrote:What about Spennymoors number 2 Tommy Miller with White as his number two?

Re: New manager poll
Andy Toman, Ian Clark etc all hated us but were soon kissing our badge. I can’t read into the Pools thing being an obstacle. A job’s a job
Re: New manager poll
Anyone get the feeling that the announcement due by the club the next few days will be 'We're re-advertising the job'?
Re: New manager poll
Micky Cummins, currently the reserves manager at Gateshead would be the most likely target if its not Chris Hardy.

Re: New manager poll
I mentioned these 2 when Gray jumped ship, don't care about Tommy being ex Pools, this would be a cracking appointment.Could Spenny be the club we have approached?.These 2 would do for me if we can afford them particularly as Ainsley is a fixture there and Miller would always be a no 2.Darlopartisan wrote:What about Spennymoors number 2 Tommy Miller with White as his number two?

Re: New manager poll
Loid, you know I voted for you but I'm very disappointed that you didn't mention your amazing credentials before. You'd surely have run away with the poll. I've just got back from goodison and if we wait a short while, based on many comments I heard, Ronald might be available.
Re: New manager poll
I don't think Koeman ever played for us which rules him out.

Alan White will be the new manager.

For someone who's posted 10 times in four years that's pretty profound. I'll look forward to congratulating you if you're right.
