We got Gray 3 promotions in 5 seasons. We paid for it, and we are still paying for it.
I could've got us the first promotion with the resources Gray was given.
I understand and to some extent agree with the criticism of Gray but you're being silly there.

Where is Simon Cowell when you need him? There is deffo a TV programme to be made here along the lines of X factor meets Great British Bake Off with a dash of TOWIE, not Dad's Army.
If we really were to prove we are a fan-owned club then why not publish a list of the real interviewees and then get them to do a presentation to the Fans Forum or AGM?

Loid, don't worry there may be an opening as assistant manager or assistant kit manager's assistant.

Craig Stoddart has tweeted: "Not expecting any news on the Darlington manager hunt this evening. More likely to be early next week, maybe even Sunday."

Wow. Might as well fold now.
Why? If we are a mid NLN side that's what we are, i'm not complaining. I am questioning this latent potential we are supposed to have. We couldn't build on Gray's success to the extent some thought we would on returning to Darlington.

It was patently clear that something happened after the York game that something filtered down to the players. It isn't just an issue of results but rappore with the fans at home and away games after games. Several people mentioned this to me.

But that's not the same as YCFC seeking permission. Am intrigued by undercovered's comment. When was this and if it was months ago was it some kind of open ended permission? Seems weird to say to a rival club "yes you can talk to our manager whenever you want."

Hardy and Hignett are not in the running according to the Echo.
I'm still clinging onto the hope that things may change with Hardy over the next few days, as unlikely as that sounds.
Being realistic though, with Hardy and Hignett not being included in the 7 that have been interviewed this week, I wonder who was shortlisted? Not that I'd expect the club to disclose this for obvious reasons but it would be certainly be interesting!

What about Adam Lakeland at Farsley Celtic he's young ambitious did well at Curzon Ashton his time at Northwich Victoria was understandably difficult, he's got Celtic playing well and to cap it all he's got a beard. Seriously worth a look though.

I wonder if Tommy Wright would bring big Exodus with him?! Sure he would be warmly received!
I don’t know how true the rumours on Wright are, but personally I’d hope for a more experienced appointment.

Don't agree. Plus he's from the midlands. Why would he come here? and don't give me that he's Darlo through and through crap that I've heard too often this week.
Also, his record is average at best

I doubt it's true, but if it was it would make Tommy's pre-match and half-time talk to his players interesting at today's game.

I got to know Tommy when he was here at Darlo. Top bloke. His other half worked with my wife in Stockton. They loved the area, they still come back and I was with him at Middlesbrough Sports Village a few months back.
I’m pretty sure he applied and would be a class appointment. Young, ambitious lad like Hardy, this is what we need.

Looks ideal, not a bad shout, compare his record to Hardys or Tommy Wrights and it stands out, yea I think he would suit the club.

Exodus would be a good deterrent to Singh though.

Tommy Wright's record at Nuneaton is distinctly average isn't it and aren't they full time, so that record isn't even on a low budget, unless there's something extenuating at Nuneaton that someone can enlighten me with.

Like the post above said, if Hardy and Hignett aren’t in the running, surely it maybe Mills who is the favourite now?
I’ll be keeping a close eye around Nuneaton ground this afternoon to see if there is anyone of Note.

Tommy Wright was an average player and has proved to be an average manager so far. Hope the rumours aren't true.

Tommy Wright was a good player, however this has no relevance as to whether or not he is or would be a good manager. I hope it isn't him BTW.
