MR TIBBS

Post by robsraiders » Wed Oct 18, 2017 6:08 pm

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform our Uncovered Forum that Mr Tibbs has passed away earlier today, he had a fatal heart attack on his way home from work in Tbilisi Georgia.

Paul Tate was a massive Darlo fan, and born in the town,he was responsible for running our DFCSG website page for many years, and what a great job he did of it, often coming up with new ideas.

As a UC member he was never rude to people and always put a reasoned point of view over.

Paul was only 55 and leaves behind a family which included his step son Georgi who will continue to support the team from thousands of miles away.

So thank you Mr Tibbs -RIP and the Darlington family condolences to your family and friends, we will hopefully have a minutes silence for him at Saturdays game.

Didnt know him, however felt he was one of a handful of posters on here who spoke sense.

Thoughts are with his loved ones.

Stunned when I read this. Enjoyed his posts and used to give us titbits about the Supporters Group. Really puts our search for a manager into perspective.

Such sad news!
Didn't know Paul very well but had many email conversations with him as he was a great help with any technical issues I had with the lottery stuff - he came across as a lovely guy and I'm sorry I never got to meet him.
Sleep tight Paul x

Darlington have lost a true fan.RIP.

I went out to Tbilisi about 20 years ago (Kinkladze era) and when I joined this forum chatted with Mr T by pm about my experience and how things had changed over there.

He was such a friendly guy, even offered to meet up if ever we went back to Tbilisi.

As others have said his posts stood out content wise.

Always found his posts informative, never abusive or offensive, a real gent.

We have lost a true supporter, but that is nothing to what his family have lost.

Aw no, that's truly awful news.

Hard to add to what has already been said, but he always came across as a pleasant, informed, reasoned and committed gent.

Rest easy, Paul.

This is terribly sad news, I'm stunned.

Mr Tibbs had such a nice way about him - funny, informative, calm, and he will be very much missed by all of us here on this forum.

He once wrote to me telling me all about life in Georgia, and only last week we shared a little joke by PM.

A minutes silence before the game would be very befitting.

Bloody Hell...

I never knew the man, but from his posts on here, seemed well spoken and knew what he was talking about.

I have exchanged private messages with him a few times, but did not know the man personally

55 is no age at all, my thoughts are with his family and friends at this time

RIP Mr Tibbs

s***. Came across as a genuinely nice man who never had an agenda or an axe to grind.

Really shocking news.

One of the best posters on this forum. A sad and shocking loss at such a relatively young age.

Best wishes to his family.
