I wouldn’t expect him to be playing Saturday...

Why not exactly? Surely if he is our player they can’t stop that?e4sby wrote:I wouldn’t expect him to be playing Saturday...

If it is Styche I will be surprised if he plays Saturday, would imagine a clause would be agreed between the 2 clubs. But is it Styche?Username wrote:Why not exactly? Surely if he is our player they can’t stop that?e4sby wrote:I wouldn’t expect him to be playing Saturday...

Re: Styche is our new striker!
It's definitely Styche - unless of course the deal collapses at the last hurdle.
Tamworth won't have wanted to sell before this weekend as they wouldn't want him to line up against them on Saturday.
Likewise, we wouldn't want the deal held up until Monday because the last thing we would want is the striker we've agreed to sign banging a brace against us on Saturday.
The best thing is to conclude the deal the deal before the weekend but Styche doesn't play? That way neither club has to worry about him playing against them.

Not that we haven't done something similar before...Quakerz wrote:Likewise, we wouldn't want the deal held up until Monday because the last thing we would want is the striker we've agreed to sign banging a brace against us on Saturday.

I was at that match, he won it on his own that day.

Joachim. He cost £100,000. He scored 13 goals. That's £7692 a goal!

Thought he scored more than that? To be fair he was pretty good too, although he was moved to the wing.

Re: Styche is our new striker!
He seemed a bit of a let down to me, especially for the money involved - although there may have been something unusual about that deal involving Sotnick.
Glen Naylor was much better value

Re: Styche is our new striker!
I suppose we could sign him after 11pm so he couldn't play for either team?
Re: Styche is our new striker!
Not sure there's anyway a clause like that could be enforced but a gentleman's agreement could certainly be reached.QUAKERMAN2 wrote:If it is Styche I will be surprised if he plays Saturday, would imagine a clause would be agreed between the 2 clubs. But is it Styche?Username wrote:Why not exactly? We're not York after all and Martin Gray doesn't pull the strings.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Our CEO confirmed at tonight's DFCSG AGM that a deal for a Centre Forward had been concluded..................Keep guessing! David gave an impromptu update on a number of issues came across very positive, and dynamic, seems to have a great professional relationship with TW who understands our basis for going forward.

Bga-Good to see the Mersey branch being represented at the AGM! If you're staying to go to the game stick a tenner in the bucket for me and I'll settle up soon?

Re: Styche is our new striker!
Evening am probably heading back to Merseyside tomorrow, my wife wants me to take her out for a drink.............how selfish is that? But I will call into the Club shop tomorrow as I have a donation to make as well. You sure you don't want a nice Club shirt for your wife's Xmas present!don'tbuythesun wrote:Bga-Good to see the Mersey branch being represented at the AGM! Interesting in this mornings echo it says the striker and Wright played together. Just had a quick look. Wright went to Forest Green for a short period in 2012 while Styche was there.

Thanks, but no thanks. She can have my Hutchison Telecom if she wants!
Re: Styche is our new striker!
You're a bit late putting all the twos together, everyone knows it's Styche and the deal has been done. Even Tamworth fans are saying he's gone on their forum...and...JE93 wrote:Interesting in this mornings echo it says the striker and Wright played together. Just had a quick look. I tweeted something last night along the lines of "refresh twitter, no Styche signing yet" and who replied to the tweet but the man himself, with "patience".

Re: Styche is our new striker!
Styche announced.....almost.

Seems like the deal is signed but perhaps a gentlemans agreement that he doesn't play on Saturday so the wording is he is still in talks.

Re: Styche is our new striker!
Should be a good signing. Added bonus is that he seems to wind up opposition fans everywhere he goes
Also, timed perfectly so that even if the deal falls through at the last minute he won't be playing against us tomorrow

Re: Styche is our new striker!
This is getting silly but I guess we had to respond to the Tamworth statement with something. Let's hope his personal terms don't blow this out of the water!Darlofan97 wrote:Styche announced.....almost.

Re: Styche is our new striker!
By the sounds of their manager's interview in the Birmingham Mail, everything has been agreed.
Re: Styche is our new striker!
Yeah - I imagine it's all done but we've agreed to put the paperwork through after the game so that he doesn't play tomorrow. Probably fair enoughDarlofan97 wrote:By the sounds of their manager's interview in the Birmingham Mail, everything has been agreed.
Re: Styche is our new striker!
When he played against York the other week, there was a spat between him and Martin Gray. When he scored his second he ran over to the York bench and celebrated infront of MG, same again in January please!al_quaker wrote:Should be a good signing.
